A 10th-grade female student fell to her death into a deep waterfall.

TPO - While having fun with a group of friends at Phu Xuan waterfall, a 10th-grade female student in Lam Dong province unfortunately slipped and fell into a ravine about 8 meters deep and died.

On the evening of May 28th, leaders of Gia Hiep commune People's Committee, Lam Dong province, announced that authorities had found the body of the female student who died in the accident at Phu Xuan waterfall area, Hamlet 1, Gia Hiep commune.

At noon on the same day (May 28th), a group of high school students from Gia Hiep commune went to Phu Xuan waterfall area to play. At around 3 PM, HTBM (16 years old, a 10th-grade student residing in Gia Hiep commune) unfortunately slipped and fell into a ravine about 8 meters deep while standing near the waterfall.

Authorities are working together to retrieve the body of the deceased female student from the ravine.

Upon receiving the report, the People's Committee of Gia Hiep commune mobilized the commune's police force and the commune's Military Command to coordinate with the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police force of Lam Dong province to carry out rescue operations.

Due to the area's deep ravine, numerous large rocks, and slippery terrain, rescue teams had to use cables and specialized equipment to access the scene. At approximately 6:30 PM that same day, the victim's body was found and brought up from the ravine.

Authorities are currently finalizing procedures to hand over the body to the family for burial.
