Up to now, the entire system of electronic textbooks from grades 1-12 of Vietnam Education Publishing House has been fully and accurately updated and provided free of charge to students and teachers.
The publisher's representative affirmed that the development and provision of free e-textbooks is a voluntary effort, stemming from social responsibility and the desire to make practical contributions to the country's education. "This is not a mandatory task according to legal regulations, but a commitment of the Vietnam Education Publishing House to bring the most favorable conditions for teaching and learning in the digital age," he said.
In the coming time, Vietnam Education Publishing House will continue to invest in research and development of new, modern and useful digital learning material platforms. It is expected that new platforms (completely free) such as dulieuso.nxbgd.vn and hoclieuso.nxbgd.vn will be launched soon, promising to bring a rich, high-quality digital educational resource ecosystem to serve students and teachers across the country.
Previously, from 2021-2024, Vietnam Education Publishing House cooperated with AES Educational Technology Joint Stock Company (AES Company) to build the website hanhtrangso.nxbgd.vn to provide timely information and update new textbooks to teachers and students nationwide.
However, after a period of implementation, the publisher realized that many problems arose and the effectiveness of electronic textbooks had not been optimized. Therefore, the Vietnam Education Publishing House decided to stop cooperating with AES Company and at the same time, stop operating the website hanhtrangso.nxbgd.vn.
In a report to the National Assembly on the implementation of Resolution 88/2014 and strict control of the quality of textbook compilation and appraisal, Minister of Education and Training Nguyen Kim Son said that the Ministry has issued Circular 26/2024 amending and supplementing a number of articles of the regulations on standards and procedures for compiling and editing textbooks; standards for organizations and individuals compiling textbooks; organization and operation of the national textbook appraisal council...
The Ministry of Education and Training is also urgently researching and developing a plan to test and use electronic textbooks according to the new general education program.
This policy realizes the Prime Minister's direction in developing a platform to support distance teaching and learning, thoroughly applying digital technology in management, teaching and learning; digitizing documents and textbooks; building a platform to share teaching and learning resources in both direct and online forms. Developing technology to serve education, towards personalized training.
