Mr. Doan Ngoc Hai sets a sub 4 goal at OneWay Vung Tau Marathon 2023

“ A few days ago, I also participated in a marathon. Therefore, I have not fully recovered my physical strength. But I set a goal of sub 4, before 4 hours ”, Mr. Doan Ngoc Hai shared on the day of receiving the Bib of OneWay Vung Tau Marathon 2023.

Mr. Doan Ngoc Hai is one of the KOLs participating in this year's OneWay Marathon. The former Chairman of the People's Committee of District 1, Ho Chi Minh City is a familiar figure with running races in Vietnam and internationally. Mr. Hai registered to participate in the 42km event, also known as the Full Marathon. Highly appreciating OneWay Vung Tau 2023, he hopes to use this playground to spread the spirit of sports and practice running for the community.

“ This is the 51st Marathon in my life. I participated in the tournament through the invitation of Mr. Bui Minh Tuan, Deputy Head of the Organizing Committee. I think this is a relatively well-organized and standard Marathon.

The OneWay race course is very beautiful. The natural air is fresh, and especially the facilities serving the Marathon are very suitable with the accompanying services. I hope that the next OneWay races will reach the regional and Asian level, ” said Mr. Hai.

Before the competition day, with many years of experience in running, Mr. Doan Ngoc Hai gave some notes to the athletes, especially the Full Marathon content. He said: “ For Marathon competitions, the distance of 42km is very harsh. Therefore, each athlete coming to the competition must run and listen to their body. Especially athletes from sub 4 and above. They need to know what level of physical strength they are at that day, to compete appropriately and safely ”.

OneWay Vung Tau Marathon is held right in the tourist season. Therefore, this is an opportunity to promote the image of Vung Tau and bring many benefits to the locality. Combining running and tourism is not a new way in the world but still brings high efficiency.

“ Major cities around the world apply Marathon to tourism to develop in parallel. Through Marathon, people around the world will know Vung Tau city in the most wonderful way ”, Mr. Doan Ngoc Hai commented on the local approach.

Tomorrow, April 23, OneWay Vung Tau Marathon 2023 will take place. The first event is 42km, starting at 3:30. At 8:00 a.m., after the athletes complete the 4 events, the organizing committee will award prizes. One of the notable prizes is a trip to Korea for the athletes who win the long distance. In addition, the athletes also won many valuable prizes in cash and in kind.
