Mr. Duong Van An is the Secretary of Vinh Phuc Provincial Party Committee.

Vinh Phuc Binh Thuan Provincial Party Secretary Duong Van An, 53 years old, was assigned by the Politburo to hold the position of Vinh Phuc Provincial Party Secretary for the 2020-2025 term.

On the morning of March 18, Standing member of the Secretariat, Head of the Central Organization Commission Truong Thi Mai presented the Politburo 's decision to transfer and appoint Mr. Duong Van An to join the Party Executive Committee, the Provincial Party Standing Committee and hold the position of Secretary of the Vinh Phuc Provincial Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term.

Ten days ago, two key leaders of Vinh Phuc province, Ms. Hoang Thi Thuy Lan (Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee) and Mr. Le Duy Thanh (Chairman of the People's Committee) were arrested in a case related to Phuc Son Group on charges of receiving bribes.

Mr. Duong Van An, 53 years old, from Thua Thien Hue; Member of the 13th Party Central Committee; Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Binh Thuan Province, 15th term. He has a PhD in Economics, Master's degree in Political Economy, Bachelor's degree in Geography.

Mr. An was the Secretary of the Thua Thien Hue Provincial Youth Union, Head of the Central Youth Union's Organizing Committee, Secretary of the Central Youth Union's Executive Committee, and Permanent Deputy Chairman of the National Committee on Vietnamese Youth. In 2014, he was transferred to be the Deputy Secretary of the Binh Thuan Provincial Party Committee and held this position for 6 years.

Since October 2020, he has been Secretary of Binh Thuan Provincial Party Committee.
