Deputy Secretary of Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee Dang Minh Thong visits people with revolutionary contributions

On July 18, the delegation of the City Party Committee - People's Council - People's Committee - Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City, led by Mr. Dang Minh Thong, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, visited and presented gifts to Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, people with revolutionary contributions, in Thu Duc ward and Binh Trung ward.

This is an activity to celebrate the 78th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27, 1947 - July 27, 2025).

Visiting Vietnamese Heroic Mother Nguyen Thi Binh (or Nguyen Thi Kham), residing in Thu Duc ward, comrade Dang Minh Thong kindly asked about her health and her daily routine.

Talking to his mother and family, comrade Dang Minh Thong said that with the tradition of drinking water and remembering its source, on July 27 every year, Ho Chi Minh City organizes delegations to visit people with revolutionary contributions and families with preferential policies.

Expressing his respect for Mother Nguyen Thi Binh's sacrifice for the country's national liberation revolution, the Deputy Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee affirmed that the city, its leaders and the people will always remember that merit.

Comrade Dang Minh Thong sent his best wishes to Mother Nguyen Thi Binh for good health and a long life with her family. He also asked the local authorities to pay special attention and care to her health, material and spiritual life.

Heroic Vietnamese Mother Nguyen Thi Binh, 75 years of Party membership. Her son is martyr Tran Thanh Hai, who died in 1971. His grave is currently at Thu Duc Martyrs' Cemetery.

* On the same day, the delegation also visited Mr. Nguyen Thanh Kham , a resident of Binh Trung ward. Mr. Nguyen Thanh Kham and his wife both participated in the resistance war against the US to save the country. During his duty, Mr. Kham was exposed to toxic chemicals.
