Accordingly, the first patient was DCT (born in 2008, residing in Hai Thanh village, Song Tri ward). Previously, on July 14th, the patient exhibited symptoms of high fever above 38 degrees Celsius, accompanied by severe headache, loss of appetite; muscle pain, joint pain, and pain in both eye sockets. The patient went to Ky Loi Health Station for examination and prescribed medication. On the morning of July 16th, the patient was tested for dengue fever using a rapid test and the result was positive for NS1Ag.

Immediately after receiving information about the dengue fever case, on the morning of July 18th, the leaders of the Ha Tinh CDC and specialized departments were present in the area, coordinating with the Hoanh Son Health Center and local authorities to urgently implement disease prevention and control measures to prevent the disease from spreading widely. At the same time, they conducted investigations into suspected dengue cases and performed rapid tests to confirm the diagnosis.
Rapid testing has revealed two more cases positive for dengue fever (NS1Ag) and two cases with fever showing suspected symptoms.

After conducting an on-site inspection in Hai Thanh village (Song Tri ward, Ha Tinh province), the Director of the Ha Tinh CDC, Nguyen Chi Thanh, requested the local health center and authorities to intensify the dissemination of disease prevention and control measures through the public address system. At the same time, he urged increased monitoring, requiring suspected cases to immediately go to medical facilities for timely monitoring and treatment; close monitoring of households around patients' homes; and organizing campaigns to mobilize residents to clean the environment and eliminate mosquito larvae to prevent dengue fever outbreaks.
The Ha Tinh CDC, in coordination with the Hoanh Son Health Center, conducted mosquito spraying to kill adult mosquitoes in nearly 100 households within a 200-meter radius of the patient's house.

Mr. Nguyen Chi Thanh, Director of the Ha Tinh CDC, said that the health sector and local authorities are focusing all efforts on containing the outbreak to prevent its spread, while also ensuring effective patient admission, examination, and treatment. The Ha Tinh CDC also advises people to proactively eliminate mosquitoes and larvae in their households, monitor their health, and seek medical attention if they experience any suspected symptoms.
