On December 11-12, information from Vu Quang National Park ( Ha Tinh province) indicated that the unit had just received three rare and valuable pythons, with a total weight of nearly 50kg, handed over by local people to be released back into their natural environment.
Accordingly, a 37kg python was discovered and captured by the family of Mr. Tran Duc Minh (residing in Tien Thanh village, Ky Khang commune, Ha Tinh province) after it wandered into his garden.
As soon as they learned that it was an endangered and rare wild animal, Mr. Minh's family notified the local authorities so that it could be handed over to the relevant agencies.
Also in Ha Tinh, while gardening, Mr. Nguyen Van Thuyet (residing in Tan Thanh village, Duc Dong commune) discovered and captured two rare pythons. He then proactively handed them over to the Duc Tho Forest Protection Department for handling according to regulations.
It is known that the two pythons handed over by Mr. Thuyet to the Duc Tho Forest Protection Department weighed a total of 11 kg. This species belongs to group IIB according to Circular 27/2025/TT-BNNMT, and is on the list of endangered animals that need protection.
After receiving the animals, the forest rangers carried out the necessary procedures and handed over the three pythons to Vu Quang National Park for care and rehabilitation before releasing them back into their natural environment as per regulations.
