From the "Digital Infrastructure" vision

Within the framework of the National Innovation and Entrepreneurship Event Techfest Vietnam 2025, AIUNI Institute of Technology, in collaboration with the Research and Entrepreneurship Institute (Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology - KAIST) and several other organizations, held a seminar. The seminar also officially announced the roadmap for realizing the mission of "Popularizing AI for all citizens," with the overarching message "AI becoming the national intelligent infrastructure."

In his opening remarks at the seminar, Mr. Nguyen Duc Long, Director of AIUNI Institute of Technology, emphasized: In the vibrant atmosphere of the National Innovation and Startup Festival - Techfest Vietnam 2025, AIUNI Institute of Technology is honored to be entrusted by the Ministry of Science and Technology with the responsibility of organizing the "Startup AI & Global DemoDay Vietnam-Korea 2025 Seminar".

The insights shared and presented after this morning's DemoDay will not remain confined to the auditorium, but will instead lead to collaboration agreements and practical solutions that will be implemented immediately after the event.

Mr. Nguyen Duc Long, Director of AIUNI Institute of Technology

Currently, artificial intelligence (AI) is no longer a technology of the future but is becoming the "National Intelligence Infrastructure," directly serving all citizens and businesses. Organizing this event is of particular importance with three main objectives: Discussion: On pioneering trends such as AI on-devices, smart education , and especially the widespread adoption of AI in the digital age; Networking: Opening opportunities for practical collaboration between investment funds and technology startups; International cooperation: Particularly featuring the pitching of outstanding startups from KAIST (Korea) and Vietnam…

Mr. Nguyen Duc Long, Director of AIUNI Institute of Technology, emphasized: "The sharing and the DemoDay this morning will not stop at the auditorium, but will become cooperation agreements and practical solutions that will be implemented in real life immediately after the event."

Sharing his thoughts on one of the renowned AI technologies, a real-time multilingual AI translation solution developed by Vietnamese people, Mr. Vu Ngoc Quyet, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Loca AI Technology Joint Stock Company and also the founder of Loca AI, said: The Loca AI project started two years ago with the aim of removing language barriers and boosting confidence for Vietnamese businesses as they integrate globally.

Furthermore, Loca AI's research aims not only to be a translation tool but also a comprehensive AI ecosystem, integrating hardware and software. Designed to be optimized for Vietnamese, the system supports over 100 languages worldwide, even in situations with inaccurate pronunciation or background noise. These features contribute to solving problems for businesses and government agencies, providing flexible solutions for various international communication scenarios.

If language is the door, then education is the foundation of the house of knowledge. In the digital age, we need AI solutions that penetrate every classroom, understand each student, and free up teachers' workload.

Ms. Vu Thi Vinh, Director of CES Global Artificial Intelligence Technology Joint Stock Company, shared: Ces Edu AI is an intelligent AI-powered teaching assistant platform specially developed for Vietnamese teachers. This helps teachers immediately apply AI knowledge and skills to their daily teaching. Specifically, it includes: designing professional lesson plans and tests; meeting knowledge and skill standards for developing advanced teaching methods and expertise; advising on diverse teaching methods, from presentations; building games and interactive activities to create a vibrant learning atmosphere…

Currently, over 5,000 teachers in schools are using CesEdu AI, with expectations of 50,000 teachers using it by June 2025 and 500,000 teachers using it by December 2026. This demonstrates its role as a powerful tool to help teachers teach more effectively, save time, and inspire students to learn.

However, surveys show that while AI training is common in schools and educational institutions, the infrequent use of AI results in limited AI skills among teachers.

Speaking at the seminar, Dr. Pham Hong Quat, Director of the Department of Startups and Technology Enterprises, Ministry of Science and Technology, thanked the teachers, students, including experts and speakers from KAIST (Korea), for their efforts in conveying information about AI. This will help Vietnamese students have more interesting experiences through the stories shared at the seminar. With the theme of innovative startups, especially in the context of the National Assembly having just passed the Artificial Intelligence (AI) Law, many people and organizations will benefit from the positive aspects that AI brings.

Along with the benefits that AI applications bring to life, the implementation of AI ethics and standards needs to be considered and enforced. Furthermore, the enactment of the Law on Digital Technology Industry will provide a solid and transparent legal framework, giving individuals and organizations confidence to deploy and implement AI projects in the future.

During the seminar, a memorandum of cooperation was signed between the National Cybersecurity Monitoring Center (NSSC) and Megazone Cloud Company.

...to concrete action

During the Global Demoday & Pitching session of the seminar, representatives and startups from KAIST presented their core technologies, growth models, market test results, and fundraising needs to expand operations into Southeast Asia, particularly Vietnam. Deeptech solutions were showcased at the pitching session, demonstrating the Institute's strategic direction in promoting innovation linked to in-depth research capabilities.

The presence of experts and speakers who created AI from the Institute at Techfest Vietnam 2025 made the atmosphere of the seminar lively and engaging. This not only contributed to strengthening cooperation between Vietnam and South Korea in the technology and startup sector, but also opened up opportunities for market access, investment, and professional networking for deeptech businesses in their acceleration phase.

Given KAIST's international reputation, several delegates also asked numerous questions to the speakers when they presented AI applications in materials science, healthcare, and reducing medical costs, such as: AI for materials R&D, AI for real-time breast ultrasound analysis, AI-assisted endoscopy for detecting body lesions, etc.

Through the presentations, many speakers received collaboration offers from domestic and international businesses, organizations, and individuals, especially regarding AI applications related to healthcare, early detection, and treatment of more than 10 types of cancer.

In addition, delegates also shared their thoughts on the strong development potential of Vietnam's innovation ecosystem. This will contribute to strengthening networking activities at Techfest Vietnam 2025, hopefully creating a foundation for many strategic cooperation projects, supporting technology transfer, human resource training, and commercialization of deeptech products in the future…

Sharing his views on the importance and necessity of spreading AI to over 100 million people, Mr. Nguyen Duc Long stated that Vietnam needs a team of knowledgeable and practical "inspirational leaders." AIUNI's "1,000 Professional GenAI Instructors" training program is designed to create these knowledge cores. These are not just instructors, but experts capable of leading communities, businesses, and local organizations in applying AI. They are the extended arm that brings AI knowledge to every corner, realizing the sustainable "AIization" of the nation.

AIUNI Institute of Technology also introduced the "12 Practical AI Skills" curriculum. This is considered a foundational textbook for the digital age. The course is designed to be concise and easy to understand, enabling everyone, from students and office workers to freelancers, to: Understand AI correctly; master AI generation tools (GenAI); and immediately apply them to their work to significantly increase efficiency and open up opportunities for career advancement…
