Proactively addressing difficulties for cooperatives.

In order to accompany and support cooperatives to operate effectively, the Cao Bang Provincial Cooperative Union has recently changed its approach to supporting cooperatives, no longer "waiting" for units to make requests or complain about difficulties, but proactively going to the grassroots level to meet, exchange ideas, and provide advice.

Officials from the Cao Bang Provincial Cooperative Union met with, advised, and provided development guidance to local cooperatives.

Through this, cooperatives receive comprehensive support to stabilize and improve the efficiency of production and business, making practical contributions to local socio-economic development.

The Bao Hung Cooperative in Truong Ha commune has developed a fairly large-scale commercial chicken and egg-laying chicken farming model. The cooperative's products are selling well in the market. However, given the cooperative's current land area and facilities, further expansion requires additional capital and manpower. Through discussions, officials from the Cooperative Union advised the Bao Hung Cooperative on developing herbal chicken and egg production, and facilitated the provision of 1,000 certification labels for herbal eggs, opening up a new direction for producing bio-safe products that are beneficial to consumer health.

Comrade Tran Anh Dung, Vice Chairman of the Cao Bang Provincial Cooperative Union, said: The Union proactively coordinates and works with units to exchange ideas, encourage, and listen to the thoughts and aspirations of cooperatives, thereby advising and supporting them to develop in the right direction. Understanding the advantages and difficulties of each cooperative unit will help make the support more effective. The Provincial Cooperative Union has connected with Yen Bai Silk and Mulberry Joint Stock Company to support the output of Cach Linh Mulberry and Silkworm Cooperative in Be Van Dan commune, to develop mulberry cultivation and silkworm farming, and aims to expand to neighboring communes.

Mr. Doan Van Thoi, Director of Cach Linh Mulberry Cooperative, shared: "The connection between the Cooperative Alliance and Yen Bai Silk Company has created an outlet for our products. The cooperative has invested more than 3 billion VND in building a mulberry seedling nursery, a factory system, cold storage, and machinery and equipment, preparing to implement linkages with farmers to develop mulberry cultivation and silkworm farming, and guaranteeing the purchase of their products."

Cao Bang province currently has 295 active cooperatives, with average revenue exceeding 2 billion VND per cooperative per year and average profit exceeding 315 million VND per cooperative per year. Most cooperatives are small-scale and still face many difficulties in terms of finance, management capacity, innovative thinking, product development, and customer connections. Based on the specific circumstances of each unit, the Cooperative Union has connected, supported, and played a supportive and facilitating role for these cooperatives.

Given that some OCOP products from cooperatives were not yet available on the shelves of local supermarkets, in 2025, the Cooperative Union connected with and introduced several products from five cooperatives into the supermarket and hotel system in the province, contributing to expanding the promotion and consumption channels for these units. During the year, the Cooperative Union also coordinated and finalized the development of the "Cao Bang Online Product Market," submitting it to the Ministry of Industry and Trade for consideration and approval.

After being approved and put into operation, the "Cao Bang Online Product Market" will develop an additional sales channel for businesses and cooperatives, contributing to promoting the development of e-commerce in the locality. Representatives of the Cao Bang Provincial Cooperative Union stated that, through leveraging internal resources and continuously innovating, many cooperatives have made significant progress, such as: Nam Phong Cooperative, which has invested in over 3,000 m² of greenhouses for growing VietGAP-certified vegetables and fruits; Truong Anh Cooperative, which has developed 4 hectares of crops, including 7,500 m² of greenhouses specializing in strawberry and melon cultivation; and Yen Cong Cooperative, which has built a modern shiitake mushroom production model on an area of 6,000 m²...

Many cooperatives are applying technology and innovating equipment to improve product quality and secure a firm foothold in the domestic market. In the coming period, the Cooperative Union will continue to proactively coordinate and organize training courses for cooperative officials on management, accounting, branding, digital transformation, and the application of science and technology in production and business.

This will raise awareness among cooperative officials about the role of science and technology and innovation in development; promote production and business, and develop sustainable cooperatives. At the same time, it will support trade promotion units, product advertising, e-commerce development, and aim to expand product consumption in the domestic and export markets.
