At the end of the day's competition, the Vietnamese Sports Delegation had 24 Gold medals, 17 Silver medals, and 43 Bronze medals. We are currently ranked second, behind the Thai Sports Delegation with 64 Gold, 43 Silver, and 27 Bronze medals.

On the track and field, athlete Nguyen Thi Ngoc brought home a precious gold medal in the women's 400m event. She finished with a time of 51.83 seconds, simultaneously breaking the SEA Games record.

In the swimming pool, young swimmer Nguyen Quang Thuan competed confidently, maintaining the lead for most of the men's 400m individual medley final and brilliantly crossing the finish line first, bringing another Gold Medal to the Vietnamese swimming team.

The highlight of the afternoon was also the impressive performance of Nguyen Huy Hoang in the men's 1500m freestyle. Not only did he outperform his competitors, but the "Gianh River otter" also finished with a time of 15 minutes 19 seconds 58, a significant lead over the chasing group, adding another Gold Medal to the overall achievement.

Notably, in the esports event Audition, the Vietnamese delegation won 2 gold medals, but these were not included in the overall medal tally as this sport was included in a SEA Games for the first time.

Specifically, Le Thi Hoai Phuong overcame her opponents in the women's singles event, achieving a score of 3,717,195, thereby winning the Gold Medal. The mixed doubles Audition performance also brought another victory when the pair Le Thi Hoai Phuong and Le Ngoc Truong Giang defeated Thailand 2-0 in the final.

Besides the gold medals, many Vietnamese athletes also competed hard to bring home important silver medals.

In the men's 400m race, despite finishing second, Ta Ngoc Tuong still brilliantly broke the national record, winning a Silver Medal, while his teammate Le Ngoc Phuc won a Bronze Medal.

The bronze medals won today also demonstrate the great efforts of the athletes. In the men's horizontal bar event in gymnastics, Dinh Phuong Thanh scored 13.133 points, thus finishing third overall.

The men's swimming team added another bronze medal in the 4x100m freestyle relay after finishing third with a time of 3 minutes 41 seconds 34. In the women's 400m freestyle, Vo Thi My Tien put up a strong fight to win another bronze medal, finishing behind athletes from Thailand and Singapore.

In addition, Judo also won a Bronze Medal thanks to Nguyen Hai Ba in the 66kg to 73kg weight category.
