Your neighboring countries are developing rapidly.
On the afternoon of December 12th, the gymnasium at Thammasat University witnessed Dinh Phuong Thanh winning the gold medal in the parallel bars event of gymnastics with a score of 12.900, far ahead of his competitors. His day concluded with an additional bronze medal in the horizontal bar event.
Dinh Phuong Thanh said emotionally: "I am really happy that we were able to win another gold medal and a bronze medal for gymnastics and the Vietnamese sports delegation."
"Honestly, after the competition ended, I was very worried because I actually made some technical mistakes during my performance. I feel really lucky to have won this gold medal."

This performance earned Dinh Phuong Thanh his 14th SEA Games gold medal.

The gold medal at the 33rd SEA Games brought Dinh Phuong Thanh closer to the record of 14 SEA Games gold medals held by track and field queen Nguyen Thi Huyen, in addition to the record of winning gold medals in 6 consecutive SEA Games.
He said emotionally, "I am very happy and proud to have been able to achieve such wonderful results during my time involved in gymnastics."
In six SEA Games, I've won a total of 14 gold medals. This year Carlos Yolo isn't competing, but there are still many talented athletes who will be competing alongside us. This year, both Thailand and Indonesia have won gold medals in gymnastics.
Southeast Asian countries are developing well in terms of athletes, techniques, and training. The competition will motivate us to try even harder. But if Vietnam wants to maintain its position, it will have to invest even more heavily."

The gold medal at Thammasat University propelled Dinh Phuong Thanh into the pantheon of Vietnamese gymnastics legends in particular and the SEA Games arena in general.
However, time spares no one, especially in a demanding field like gymnastics. At 30, Dinh Phuong Thanh will have to carefully consider the question of whether to "move forward or stop."
The young man, born in 1995, shared: "At 30, I'm getting weaker and my health isn't as robust as it was when I was younger. This gold medal can be seen, in a way, as me having fought to surpass my own limits. Competing in two events today was quite a challenge for me."
"But actually, everything was fine. I think my performance on the horizontal bar today was good. I feel satisfied. But honestly, if possible, I would still like to participate in another SEA Games. If my physical condition still allows it, I will participate again."
