Attaching labels, numbering, and measuring the indicators of ancient tea trees.
La Bang commune ( Thai Nguyen province) has just completed the process of attaching identification tags, numbering, and measuring the indicators of ancient tea trees in plot 6, sub-area 147 of Tam Dao National Park, at an altitude of approximately 1,350m. This area still preserves a population of ancient tea trees with special biological value, considered a rare genetic resource that needs protection. Initial inventory results recorded 22 large tea trees with trunk circumferences ranging from 60 cm to 153 cm; all have been attached identification tags and their growth parameters updated for long-term management. Attaching the tags and numbering helps to clearly identify the ancient tea tree population, prevent potential damage, preserve valuable genetic resources, and move towards establishing heritage tree documentation, contributing to the preservation of the endemic ecosystem of Tam Dao National Park.
Phu Tho province improves the effectiveness of community agricultural extension groups.
