
Attending the meeting were leaders from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, leaders from Phu Tho province, ambassadors and heads of representative offices of foreign countries in Vietnam; international organizations, foreign non-governmental organizations; and prominent partners and investors.
Reviewing Phu Tho province's foreign affairs activities and foreign investment attraction, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Duy Dong affirmed: In recent years, closely adhering to the foreign policy guidelines of the Vietnamese Party and State, Phu Tho province has implemented comprehensive and effective foreign affairs activities across all three pillars: Party diplomacy, State diplomacy, and people-to-people diplomacy.
International cooperation activities have been strengthened, becoming increasingly in-depth, effective, practical, and making positive contributions to socio -economic development. Friendly cooperative relations with foreign localities are being implemented in an increasingly substantive and effective manner; cooperative relations with embassies, development agencies of foreign countries, and international organizations are being implemented extensively and practically.

To date, Phu Tho province has signed and established friendly cooperative relations with more than 20 foreign localities, focusing on economic cooperation and people-to-people exchanges and friendship activities.
The meeting program is an opportunity for Phu Tho province to introduce to international friends its development vision, potential, and cooperation opportunities in the post-merger period; it is also a forum and space for diplomatic agencies, international organizations, and the business community to exchange, connect, and expand specific cooperation and investment programs.
Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Nguyen Minh Hang expressed her hope that Phu Tho province would strengthen economic diplomacy to serve socio-economic development; proactively seek, expand, and elevate international cooperation relations, especially in areas where the province has advantages such as processing and manufacturing industry, high-tech agriculture, tourism, science and technology, digital transformation, education and training...

Phu Tho needs to build a team of provincial foreign affairs officials with strong political convictions, modern thinking, in-depth professional skills, and good foreign language proficiency; considering this a key, long-term task; and strengthening the application of digital technology in implementing foreign affairs activities to quickly adapt to the requirements in the new context.
Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Ko Tae Yeon, President of the Korean Chamber of Commerce in Vietnam (KOCHAM), remarked: Many Korean businesses appreciate the province's recent efforts to strengthen communication with the business community. Looking to the future, there are many areas where Phu Tho and Korean companies can cooperate.
Phu Tho has a solid foundation in the textile and garment manufacturing sector, supporting industries, and light industries, playing an important role in the northern domestic goods transportation chain.
