On the afternoon of December 12th, the Vietnam U22 team held a training session at the RBAC University Stadium (Bangkok) in preparation for their match against the Philippines U22 team on December 15th.
The players who started in the 2-0 victory against U22 Malaysia in the final group stage match on the afternoon of December 11th received light recovery training. However, coach Kim Sang Sik also spent a considerable amount of time reviewing the performance of these players in the recent match.
Meanwhile, the rest of the players continued to train intensely to prepare as best as possible for the upcoming semi-final match against the Philippines U22 team. Coach Kim closely observed his players during the passing drills before they moved on to a small-scale competitive match.
Speaking before training, left-back Phi Hoang shared: "The whole team is very happy to have won against U22 Malaysia. Coach Kim hasn't shared much, only congratulated the whole team on yesterday's victory."

Speaking about the Vietnamese U22 team's preparation for the semi-final match, Phi Hoang said that the whole team hasn't studied the Philippines U22 team yet because they only learned about their semi-final opponent yesterday.
However, he affirmed that the Vietnam U22 team always stays focused, and every time they take to the field, they try to execute the tactics given by the coaching staff.
"From today onwards, the whole team will train intensively and try to communicate more in daily life to prepare for the semi-final match," he said.
Assessing the opponent, Phi Hoang said: "U22 Philippines is also a strong team. They defeated the defending champions U22 Indonesia. But the most important thing for U22 Vietnam is to focus and fight with all their might against U22 Philippines. What the team needs to improve currently is the final finishing touch."
Coach Kim Sang Sik and his team received encouragement.
On the morning of December 12th, coach Kim Sang Sik and his players received congratulations and encouragement directly from the President of the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF), Tran Quoc Tuan, after securing a place in the semi-finals as group B winners.
Coach Tran Quoc Tuan reminded the entire team to maintain the highest level of focus, aiming for a place in the final match.
