This is a training session to prepare for the final qualifying round of the 2027 Asian Cup. Notably, the Korean coach called up many new faces such as Quan Van Chuan ( Hanoi ), defender Tran Hoang Phuc (HCMC CA), Dinh Quang Kiet (HAGL), midfielder Ly Cong Hoang Anh (Nam Dinh Blue Steel), striker Pham Gia Hung (Ninh Binh).

Two faces that have been highly anticipated but have not been called up for the national team for a long time due to injury, striker Nguyen Xuan Son and defender Doan Van Hau, are still not on the team's list.

According to the plan, on August 29, the Vietnamese team will gather in Hanoi to train. Because coach Kim Sang-sik is busy leading the Vietnamese U23 team to compete in the 2026 Asian U23 Qualifiers in Viet Tri ( Phu Tho ), the Vietnamese team will practice under the direction of assistant Dinh Hong Vinh.

The team will have 2 friendly matches with CAHN on September 4 and Nam Dinh Blue Steel on September 7.
