Recently, a picture of a grandfather sitting and informing his grandchildren about the rules during the summer vacation at their grandparents’ house was widely shared on social media. In the announcement, he specified the time frame during which the children were allowed to use their phones. In addition, he also asked the “summer group” to participate in cleaning the house and sweeping the yard.
“We must not lose solidarity, talk less during meals, and eat well. Those who do not comply will be warned or sent back to their families and parents,” he requested. Below, the children agreed to sign the commitment.
This special rulebook has made many people excited. One person commented humorously: “When the retirement group meets the summer vacation, it is necessary to be clear from the beginning to make it easier to cooperate.”
“The fierce clash finally led to an agreement on the schedule, officially bringing order and discipline. Only at this level can we control the summer vacation,” one person wrote.

Sharing with VietNamNet reporter, Ms. Pham Bui Ngoc Anh (21 years old), the owner of this series of "feverish" photos, said she was very surprised when the family's images were spread. She said that her grandfather - Mr. Bui Gia Khinh (60 years old), had 4 children and 7 grandchildren. He currently lives in Quynh Phu, Thai Binh . Although the grandchildren live far away, every summer vacation they still come back to visit their grandparents for a few weeks to a month.
According to Ms. Ngoc Anh, her grandfather is a cheerful person, when he saw that his children were at the age of being "addicted" to phones, he thought of a way to set up rules and ask them to sign a commitment to follow them. Without having to yell or urge, agreeing to these rules made the children voluntarily follow the rules and do exactly what they promised.

This is not the first time he has imposed such “martial law”. Last year, on the first day his children returned home for summer vacation, he also organized an “urgent meeting to thoroughly grasp the ideology”, making the summer vacation go smoothly and completely.
When returning to the countryside for summer vacation, instead of sleeping in until 9-10am, the children had to wake up early in the morning, brush their teeth, wash their faces and not “crowd two meals into one”. The children were also regularly reminded by their grandfather to clean the house and take care of their personal hygiene.
“When the children go back to the countryside to play, although grandparents are a bit busier and more tired, they always try to create joy so that the children can get away from books, exercise comfortably, and enjoy a full, true summer vacation,” said Ms. Ngoc Anh.

According to her, summer vacation is a rare time for siblings to meet and gather together. As for grandparents, summer is the only time of the year when their grandchildren can return to their hometown to play and relax after a year of school. Although it is more difficult, in return, grandparents can have happy, warm moments with their children and grandchildren.
