On the afternoon of December 16, the Vietnam Radio and Electronics Association held the official meeting of the 8th term congress. Here, the delegates elected the executive committee of the Vietnam Radio and Electronics Association for the 8th term. The executive committee then met to elect the Standing Committee and positions.
Accordingly, Mr. Tran Duc Lai holds the position of Chairman of the Vietnam Radio and Electronics Association for the 8th term. Mr. Tran Duc Lai, former Deputy Minister of Information and Communications, is also the Chairman of the Vietnam Radio and Electronics Association for the 7th term (2019-2023).
Mr. Nguyen Canh Minh will be Vice President and General Secretary of the Vietnam Radio and Electronics Association. The remaining Vice Presidents include Mr. Tran Xuan Nam, Nguyen Nam Long, Dang Hoai Bac, Chu Duc Trinh, and Doan Quang Hoan. After electing the positions, the delegates also approved the Resolution of the Congress.
The Vietnam Radio and Electronics Association was established by the decision of the Chairman of the Council of Ministers on December 17, 1988. This is the first Association in the field of Posts - Electronics - Telecommunications - Broadcasting in the past and now Information and Communications.
Over 35 years of operation, the Vietnam Radio and Electronics Association has attracted a large number of scientists and managers from universities, academies, research institutes, enterprises and state management agencies in the fields of electronics, telecommunications, IT, and broadcasting nationwide.
Sharing at the 35th anniversary of the establishment of the Vietnam Radio and Electronics Association, Chairman Tran Duc Lai said that during nearly 60 years of tradition and 35 years of construction and development, the Vietnam Radio and Electronics Association has grown in all aspects. Up to now, the members of the Vietnam Radio and Electronics Association together with branches, institutes, schools, and enterprises in the field of Electronics and Telecommunications include 35 focal points with over 1,000 members.
In the coming time, the Vietnam Radio and Electronics Association will focus on core issues for Vietnam to implement the digital transformation strategy, the strategy for developing Vietnam's electronics industry, from AI, IoT to semiconductor industry,... This is the foundation for building a self-reliant and self-reliant Vietnam.
