(Dan Tri) - Susie Wiles, the silent strategist behind the success of US President-elect Donald Trump in this year's election season, has been chosen to become White House Chief of Staff in the upcoming administration.

"Susie Wiles has just helped me achieve one of the greatest political victories in American history and was an integral part of both my successful 2016 and 2020 campaigns," US President-elect Donald Trump said in a statement late on November 7. Mr. Trump added: "Susie is tough, smart, creative, admired and respected by everyone. She will continue to work tirelessly to make America great again. It is an honor to have Susie as the first female White House Chief of Staff in history. I am confident she will make our country proud." Thus, Ms. Wiles is the first confirmed person in Mr. Trump's administration. Mr. Trump won the election on November 5. If the results are confirmed, he will take office at the end of January next year. Wiles began her political career in 1979 as an assistant to Republican Jack Kemp. A year later, she joined Ronald Reagan's campaign, and he later became the 40th president of the United States. Her career peaked in 2010, when in just seven months, she helped Rick Scott, a businessman with little political experience, win the Florida gubernatorial election. In 2015, during the Republican primary, she first met Trump, and a year later she became co-chair of his Florida campaign. Trump won the state over Hillary Clinton that year. Two years later, she was appointed to head Ron DeSantis' Florida gubernatorial campaign. DeSantis described her as "the best in the business" in his victory speech. Despite her political successes over the decades, Ms Wiles rarely appears in the media.
