Cole Palmer shines brightly. |
In the early morning of May 29, Palmer became the inspiration to help Chelsea win the Europa Conference League final. The English talent was later compared to Lionel Messi by former player Joe Cole on TNT Sports : "Cole Palmer had a performance similar to the way Messi often does in finals."
Joe Cole continued to praise his junior: "Cole Palmer is a genius on the pitch. Watching him play is a privilege, not only for Chelsea fans but also for England fans."

Chelsea got off to a difficult start against Real Betis, the Spanish side who started strongly and could have led by more than a goal at half-time. However, under Palmer's guidance, Chelsea staged a dramatic comeback in the second half, winning 4-1 on aggregate.
Palmer was the standout with two assists for the first two goals, confirming his great influence in the playing style of "The Blues".
