PC Da Nang is ready to provide power for the Da Nang International Fireworks Festival (DIFF) 2025

To proactively provide electricity to key locations, Hai Chau Electricity (a unit under PC Da Nang ) coordinated with relevant departments and agencies to unify the electricity arrangement plan at the event locations including: 29/3 Square, Han River Port and Asia Park.

The unit has reviewed and maintained all power lines and transformer stations in the festival area, installed low-voltage power systems, pulled connecting wires to each exhibition booth, ensuring safe and continuous use and operation during the event. To increase backup power sources, Hai Chau Power Company has installed a 500kVA backup generator for the exhibition area and a 40kVA generator in the fireworks area; at the same time, assigned staff and workers to be on duty in the areas throughout the festival, especially during important moments such as the opening and closing ceremonies, ready to quickly handle any power grid problems.

At the fireworks stand area along Tran Hung Dao Street, managed by Son Tra Power Company, the unit has arranged personnel to install 1,430 meters of new twisted cable, 06 low-voltage electrical cabinets, and arranged 2 lighting fixtures at stands A1 and A3 to provide backup lighting in case of an incident. In addition, the Power Company also focuses on cleaning and maintaining power lines and equipment on the medium and low-voltage grid to ensure power supply to the fireworks display area (stand and sidewalk on Tran Hung Dao Street).

In parallel with the above tasks, to ensure the safety of the power grid corridor and respond to the hot weather during the event, PC Da Nang has implemented many synchronous solutions for stable power supply, including strengthening the inspection of the power grid safety corridor, promptly detecting and preventing cases at risk of violations causing power grid incidents. The expected daily peak power load capacity of Da Nang is 760 MW, an increase of approximately 10.9% compared to the peak in the dry season of 2024.

With careful and thoughtful preparation, PC Da Nang strives to ensure safe - continuous - stable power supply, contributing to the overall success of DIFF 2025 and affirming its role in ensuring power supply for life and socio -economic development in Da Nang city.

It is known that DIFF 2025 will take place from May 31 to July 12, 2025, lasting 6 competition nights every Saturday night, with the theme "Da Nang: New Era". This is the longest and largest fireworks festival season ever, marking the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of Da Nang City. DIFF 2025 brings together 10 competing teams from countries with the world's leading fireworks traditions including: Vietnam (2 teams), Finland, Poland, Canada, China, Portugal, United Kingdom, South Korea, Italy.
