SEA Games 32 review May 10:
On the morning of May 10, Coach Nguyen Van Hung and his team will compete in 5 final events of Pencak Silat. Today's competition day promises to be extremely tense as the goal of the Vietnamese Pencak Silat team is to win 3 gold medals.
Right after the Pencak Silat finals will be the 12 finals of the Vietnamese Kun Khmer team. In which, Thanh Hoa boxer Nguyen Hong Quan will compete in the men's 71kg weight class. This is expected to be an extremely difficult match for this boxer as he has to face an opponent from the host country Cambodia.
Notably, in athletics, there are 7 final events (from 4:50 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.), in which events such as the men's and women's 800m, women's long jump, women's 4x100m relay... are expected to win gold medals for the Vietnamese sports delegation.
In the above events, Le Tu Chinh will return in the women's 4x100m relay race, while Bui Thi Thu Thao will take on the responsibility of winning the "gold" in the long jump event.
In swimming (from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.), Tran Hung Nguyen will compete for the gold medal in the men's 200m backstroke. In addition, young swimmers are also capable of creating surprises in the remaining 4 finals. Pham Thi Van of Thanh Hoa is registered in 2 events: 50m freestyle and women's 4x200m freestyle.
