Petrovietnam donates 5 billion VND to the program "Eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses" in Lam Dong province

In response to the emulation movement of the whole country joining hands to "eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses" nationwide by 2025 launched by Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, Chairman of the Central Emulation and Reward Council on April 13, 2024 in Hoa Binh province, right after the Central launching ceremony, Lam Dong province organized the launching ceremony of the emulation movement "eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses" in the province.
Representing Petrovietnam, comrade Bui Minh Tien - Member of the Board of Directors of the Group donated 5 billion VND to the program "Eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses" in Lam Dong province.
At the event, Lam Dong province received support from businesses and sponsors of 41 billion VND to contribute to the emulation movement "eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses" in the province. On behalf of the Vietnam Oil and Gas Group (Petrovietnam), comrade Bui Minh Tien - Member of the Board of Directors of the Group presented support for the construction of 100 houses in response to the program "eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses" in Lam Dong province with a value of 5 billion VND.
Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh presented flowers to thank business representatives for donating 41 billion VND to the program "Eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses" in Lam Dong.
Along with promoting and developing production and business activities, social security work is always considered important by Petrovietnam. This is an important activity in the long-term, sustainable development strategy and is associated with the four core values of oil and gas culture: "Aspiration - Intelligence - Professionalism - Affection", which is the responsibility and affection of oil and gas workers towards the community and society.
Speaking at the ceremony, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh emphasized that the financial support from businesses and sponsors to "eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses" in the province is a noble gesture, demonstrating the humane and good traditions of our society; demonstrating the clear guidelines and policies of the Party and State: always caring and improving the material and spiritual life of the people; not sacrificing social progress and justice to pursue mere economic growth.
The Prime Minister stated that the movement to “eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses” is being vigorously carried out across the country in general and Lam Dong in particular, supported by ministries, branches, localities, and enterprises. The Prime Minister also requested a review of the total number of remaining dilapidated houses in Lam Dong province in particular and the country in general; creating land funds, clearing land, etc., demonstrating the spirit of “the whole country joining hands”, including the entire political system, the people, and the families receiving funding to make efforts to “eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses”.

“Towards the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and the 80th anniversary of the country’s independence, Vietnam aims for a common goal by 2025 of “eliminating all dilapidated and temporary houses” across the country following the motto of “3-hard houses”: “hard foundation – hard walls – hard roof”. Contributing to the common goal of achieving that goal, we must mention the hearts, noble gestures, responsibility and affection of businesses” – Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh emphasized.
In addition to its political and annual production and business tasks, Petrovietnam always focuses on implementing social security work. The budget is about 500-750 billion VND/year, and in some years it is higher, to join hands with the Party, the State, and local authorities to help the disadvantaged in society, leaving no one behind. In implementing social security activities over the past 3 years, Petrovietnam committed to building 3,038 solidarity houses, and has so far built more than 3,200 houses, exceeding the commitment.
