"This is only considered the B team of the Southeast Asian Stars, but they can still beat Man Utd easily. It's ridiculous," Paul Eric Peligro from the Philippines expressed on the Asean Football page after witnessing Man Utd receive a big shock against the Southeast Asian Stars team in the friendly match that took place on the evening of May 28.

Immediately after losing the Europa League final, coach Ruben Amorim's team quickly flew to Malaysia to play a friendly match with the Southeast Asian Stars team led by coach Kim Sang Sik.
Despite fielding many stars in the squad such as goalkeeper Onana, Harry Maguire, Casemiro, Bruno Fernandes, Amad Diallo, Alejandro Garnacho... Man Utd still played deadlocked against the Southeast Asian Stars team.
Notably, the Southeast Asian Stars team players were only gathered for about 3 days and were missing many bright faces such as Quang Hai, Xuan Son, Chanathip, Theerathon, Asnawi, Arif Aiman... but still played confidently against the "Red Devils".

Coach Ruben Amorim's team not only had a deadlock in attack but also conceded a goal in the 71st minute, when Segecic made an accurate pass from the middle for Maung Maung Lwin to run down and finish past goalkeeper Tom Heaton, scoring the only goal of the match.
"The Southeast Asian All-Stars team was able to defeat Man Utd without even using their strongest lineup. Even Man Utd fans felt disappointed," commented Tora Tora after the Manchester team's defeat.
"If our Southeast Asian All-Star team plays in the Premier League, we are confident that we will stay in the tournament as we proved that we can easily defeat the team ranked 15th on the table," Richard said.

"It's hard to imagine that Man Utd would lose to a team that had only trained for 2 to 3 days. I appreciate coach Kim Sang Sik for taking less than 3 days to defeat Man Utd," shared Malaysian account Pisar Puteh.
"Man Utd have won against the European All-Star team, but how can they not beat the Southeast Asian All-Star B team?", Singaporean account Alfannx expressed.
"The last chance to win the title this season has also slipped away. So boring for the Red Devils," commented account Chhum Seiha from Cambodia.
"In my opinion, Man Utd should play in the AFF Cup, and the Southeast Asian All-Star team should play in the Premier League, that would be reasonable," Han Linz Wynter emphasized.
"What a joke. What happened to Man Utd? They used to be the strongest club in the world , but now they are so fragile. My Garnacho is very sad," Malaysian account Ariana Shina concluded.
