The interdisciplinary food safety inspection team (Team No. 1) chaired by the Department of Health drew up a record of administrative handling against Van An Khang Company Limited.

The inspection team inspected Van An Khang Company Limited (Tan Dong Commune) which sells Saigon Water bottled water and 3 types of bottled water with brands and product addresses in other localities. At the time of inspection, the enterprise provided business records, food safety certificates; self-declaration records, labeling of products being produced and sold (1 product), periodic testing of water sources but did not provide sufficient product declaration records, and manufacturing contracts for the remaining 3 products.

The delegation noted that the facility's hygiene conditions were not guaranteed, and that waste and garbage within the production facility were not collected and treated according to regulations. Based on the consensus of the members, the delegation decided to draw up a record of administrative sanctions against Van An Khang Company Limited, the amount of VND 17 million according to the provisions of Point d, Clause 4, Article 9 of Decree No. 115/2018/ND-CP dated September 4, 2018 of the Government on administrative sanctions for food safety; requiring the enterprise to correct existing issues, complete self-declaration of products, and label products.

At Tan Chau Town Kindergarten, the delegation noted that the food processing area for preschool children provided by Nha Cooperative (Hoa Thanh Town) was prepared according to one-way regulations, had full legal documents on food service business, had a contract to provide meals, and kept samples according to regulations.

However, the members of the delegation noted that the English classroom toilet had many cobwebs, the floor was full of dust, and some items (mop, water pipes, brooms, etc.) were not neatly placed in the toilet, affecting the classroom environment and the health of the children. The inspection delegation requested the school to promptly remedy the situation and continue to maintain good conditions to ensure food safety according to regulations.

At the time of inspection, the bottled water production area of Van An Khang Company Limited was not hygienic.

Previously, the interdisciplinary team inspected Nguyen Thai Binh facility (Tan Hiep commune), which produces PET plastic bottles, and recorded no violations at the time of inspection.
