In the Chinese zodiac, the horse is a symbol of loyalty, strength, patience, and perseverance, bringing good fortune and wealth. The stamp set is presented in a contemporary folk style, featuring the prominent image of the "Nine-Maned Horse," depicting a pair of horses – a white horse and a red horse – carrying a drum ensemble to welcome the spring, symbolizing the harmony of yin and yang.

The image of the white horse on the first stamp, with its long, flowing mane, long, curved eyelashes, slender legs, and elegant neck, carrying a drum set, embodies the feminine principle (yin). The chestnut horse on the second stamp, with its short mane, thick eyebrows, strong, sturdy legs, and broad chest, carrying a drum, embodies the masculine principle (yang). The two stamps together create a harmonious balance of yin and yang, conveying a message of a new journey filled with promise, breakthroughs, and success. The two horses are also depicted bowing to each other, symbolizing humility and affection. The entire stamp set exudes an atmosphere of family happiness and overflowing love.

This is the seventh set of Tet stamps designed by artist Nguyen Quang Vinh. According to artist Nguyen Quang Vinh, each set of Tet stamps is not only a work of art but also a dialogue with heritage, a journey to recreate and renew traditional cultural values using the visual language of today's era.

The stamp block depicts a herd of eight horses galloping alongside the image of a "Thousand-Mile Horse" with phoenix wings, conveying wishes for reunion, advancement, and success in the new year. In the middle of the herd, one horse turns back to encourage the last horse to keep going, conveying the message of "success upon arrival." At the center of the stamp block is the image of a "Thousand-Mile Horse," representing a mythical horse flying above the clouds, enhanced with phoenix wings to reach for aspirations, also a wish for advancement and success in the new year.

Contributing to the dissemination and promotion of important national events to a wide audience of citizens and international friends, in 2025, the Ministry of Science and Technology issued four sets of commemorative stamps. These are: “Commemorating the 50th Anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025)” consisting of two stamps and one stamp block; “Commemorating the 100th Anniversary of the Vietnamese Revolutionary Press Day (1925 - 2025)” consisting of one stamp; “Commemorating the 80th Anniversary of the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025)” consisting of one stamp and one stamp block; and “Commemorating the 80th Anniversary of the First General Election to elect the Vietnamese National Assembly (1946 - 2026)” consisting of two stamps.
