On the Chau Doc - Can Tho - Soc Trang expressway construction site, workers and engineers are working day and night, mobilizing all available equipment to complete the important components of this key national project.
Contractors have innovated construction methods, deployed multiple construction fronts simultaneously, increased the use of modern equipment, and promptly supplemented manpower. Technical solutions have been flexibly adjusted to suit the conditions of each section of the route, ensuring both progress and quality.

The contractor for package 44 is concentrating equipment and machinery, arranging work in "3 shifts, 4 teams," to ensure both the progress and quality of the project.
Present at the construction site of package 44, the working atmosphere was quite bustling. Mr. Vo Dai Thach, Deputy General Director of Thanh Huy Group Joint Stock Company, said that despite being one of the packages with the highest construction progress in the entire project across An Giang province, with a production volume of 75.76% (exceeding the target by about 1.02%), the contractor has focused resources and personnel since the beginning of the year to urgently complete the following items: asphalt paving, installation of median strips, traffic safety systems, road surface cleaning, etc.

Mr. Vo Dai Thach stated: “The Chau Doc - Can Tho - Soc Trang expressway construction project, phase 1, is a key national transportation project with very high requirements regarding progress, quality, and technical standards. The company has mobilized maximum manpower and equipment, organized construction scientifically with a '3 shifts, 4 teams' approach, ensuring quality, progress, labor safety, and environmental hygiene in accordance with regulations.”

Mr. Nguyen Dinh Nam, originally from Ha Tinh province and an assistant worker on the asphalt paving machine, said: “These past few days, the weather has been alternating between sunshine and rain, so we've been taking advantage of sunny periods to lay the asphalt, even working at night to meet the deadline. The project is almost complete, so everyone is excited and working hard.”

Construction activity along the entire main route is very busy, with a determination to complete the project on schedule.
Despite the unfavorable weather conditions in recent days, the construction site of package 42 of the Chau Doc - Can Tho - Soc Trang expressway remains bustling. Mr. Tran Minh Thanh, Deputy Director of Truong Son 11, Truong Son Construction Corporation, stated that to ensure project progress during the acceleration phase, the contractor has arranged equipment and manpower appropriately and ensured workplace safety.

The contractor mobilized over 200 staff and workers along with nearly 160 pieces of equipment and machinery, organizing multiple construction teams for tasks such as: unloading, laying crushed stone base, asphalt concrete paving, and auxiliary items such as: drainage systems, traffic safety systems, lighting... “We arranged the construction time appropriately, increased equipment and manpower to ensure the simultaneous implementation of items in a phased manner, completing each section as it progresses, with the determination to bring the project to completion as quickly, safely, and with the highest quality possible.”

Most of the bridges have had their basic bridge decks and asphalt paving completed.
According to the An Giang Provincial Project Management Board, the Chau Doc - Can Tho - Soc Trang Expressway Construction Project, Phase 1, has a total length of 188km and a total investment of 44,691 billion VND. This is a horizontal expressway project spanning across An Giang province and Can Tho city (before the merger, it comprised An Giang province, Can Tho city, Hau Giang province, and Soc Trang province).
The People's Committee of An Giang province has been assigned by the Prime Minister to be the managing agency for implementing component project 1 of the Chau Doc - Can Tho - Soc Trang expressway project, phase 1, with a length of 57km and a total investment of VND 13,526 billion. To date, the total progress and output of the 4 contract packages has reached 75.88%/75.66% (exceeding by approximately 0.22%) of the contract value; corresponding to an estimated output value of VND 6,366 billion/VND 8,391 billion.

Construction teams are accelerating progress on each item, determined to finish on schedule.
Currently, the An Giang Provincial Project Management Board is closely monitoring the project's progress daily and weekly to expedite implementation. Simultaneously, they are coordinating closely with relevant departments and contractors to promptly address difficulties and obstacles during construction, aiming to accelerate progress and ensure project quality, as directed by the provincial leadership.
Chairman of the An Giang Provincial People's Committee, Ho Van Mung, requested contractors to continue implementing the contract packages according to the set timelines, ensuring technical standards and quality of the works. Construction units should simultaneously carry out asphalt paving with the construction of median strips, traffic signs, and traffic safety equipment to expedite the disbursement of public investment funds.
