Market Management Team No. 3 (Market Management Department of Tien Giang province) has examined and verified information about a tobacco business establishment in the management area at the request of Saigon Tobacco Company.
Specifically, on November 14, 2024, Market Management Team No. 3 conducted a surprise inspection of a QK grocery business household in Tan Phuoc district, Tien Giang province.

At the time of inspection, this facility was trading 200 packs of SAIGON SILVER cigarettes with signs of counterfeiting the name and address of Saigon Tobacco Company and counterfeiting the “SAIGON SILVER” trademark which has been registered for exclusive protection in Vietnam. Market Management Team No. 3 temporarily seized all the infringing evidence for further verification and clarification.
After discussing and coordinating with the intellectual property rights owner and working with the business representative, Market Management Team No. 3 drew up a record of administrative violations against the establishment for two violations: trading in counterfeit goods and counterfeiting trademarks.
On November 20, the Captain of Market Management Team No. 3 issued a decision to administratively fine the QK business household VND 8 million and forced the destruction of the 200 packs of cigarettes mentioned above.
