More than 5,000 milk cartons found with signs of violating Abbott's trademark

During a surprise inspection of a milk store in Vinh Yen city, Vinh Phuc province, authorities discovered thousands of milk cartons showing signs of infringing on protected trademark rights.

A representative of the General Department of Market Management said that on January 10, the Inspection Team of Market Management Team No. 1 (Market Management Department of Vinh Phuc province) coordinated with a representative of Rouse Vietnam Law Firm to conduct an inspection of a milk store in Khai Quang ward, Vinh Yen city, Vinh Phuc province.

At the time of inspection, the authorities recorded that the store, represented by Ms. Phan Thi Hue, was selling powdered milk and nutritional food products with signs of infringement of Abbott trademarks protected in Vietnam, including 5,364 product units.

The inspection team has temporarily detained all of the above goods to continue completing the dossier and submitting it to the competent authority for handling according to the provisions of law.

"In the coming time, the force will step up propaganda and mobilize organizations and individuals to sign a commitment not to produce, transport, store, or trade counterfeit goods, goods of unknown origin, and goods that infringe intellectual property rights," said a representative of the Market Management Department of Vinh Phuc province./.
