Paying attention to building happy families and women's advancement, the district has so far established 16 family work steering committees; consolidated and improved 132 groups for preventing domestic violence; 148 clubs for building sustainable families; 164 trusted addresses in the community and 148 hotlines for preventing and combating domestic violence.
“The Women's Union at all levels focuses on diversifying the forms of propaganda and mobilization to support women's union members in building prosperous, happy, progressive and civilized families such as: organizing integrated branch and group activities on family life organization skills, conflict resolution skills between family members, knowledge of preventing domestic violence, knowledge of child care; coordinating the organization of activities on International Day of Happiness, Vietnamese Family Day suitable to the actual situation, following the annual theme, with the participation of many women's union members' families. Thereby, contributing to raising awareness among cadres, union members and women about the responsibility of building happy families, for the advancement of women", said Ms. Nguyen Thi Mau, Vice President of the District Women's Union.
The District People's Committee promotes the Movement "All people unite to build a cultural life" associated with building new rural areas, civilized urban areas and sustainable poverty reduction; improving the quality of the titles "Cultural Family" and "Typical Cultural Family". Up to now, the whole district has more than 39,400 households achieving the title "Cultural Family", accounting for more than 91% of households in the area.
Towards the Vietnamese Family Day on June 28, the district organized the 8th District Family Day Sports Festival in 2025. There were 10 teams from communes, towns, departments and branches of the district participating, competing in 4 events: tug of war, chain games, score soccer games and pickleball.
The festival is organized to raise awareness of sectors, levels and the whole society about the role and position of family work in the cause of building and defending the Fatherland; at the same time, promote the interest of the social community, the core of which is building a prosperous, equal, progressive and happy family. Honor the profound traditional humanistic values of the Vietnamese family; commend collectives and families with achievements in the process of implementing family work; encourage and motivate families to participate in training, studying, contributing to building a cultural family and a civilized society.
This is also an opportunity for families and localities to exchange and share experiences in building homes, raising, caring for andeducating children. Mr. Pham Chi Linh, Tan Thanh A hamlet, Ta An Khuong Nam commune, shared: "Through the Festival, I have the opportunity to meet many families, have the opportunity to share and learn from each other, to better promote the good traditional values of my family".
Mr. Tran Anh Chot, Vice Chairman of the District People's Committee, called: "On the occasion of Vietnamese Family Day and National Action Month on Domestic Violence Prevention, I call on organizations, agencies, socio-political organizations, each locality from hamlets, quarters to each family to unite and join hands to act for a society without domestic violence, contributing significantly to building a prosperous, equal, happy and civilized Vietnamese family. Everyone should organize family reunions, meet members to review family traditions, which is more necessary and meaningful than ever, thereby strengthening the feelings of members together, gradually bringing Family Day into life, becoming a great festival, carrying a noble humanistic meaning, passed down in every Vietnamese family"./.
