In 2024, the Vietnam Bank for Social Policies (VBSP) will continue to focus on caring for and protecting the legitimate rights and interests of female union members and workers. At the same time, it will create conditions for female cadres to promote the traditions of Vietnamese women, strive to contribute their intelligence and talent to society, and care for and cultivate family happiness, contributing to the completion of the political tasks of the agency or unit.
Recognizing women's work as an important task in the activities of the Trade Union, the Trade Union of the Vietnam Bank for Social Policies has directed and guided the Women's Committees at all levels to innovate their activities, focusing on caring for and protecting the legitimate rights and interests of female union members and workers. At the same time, creating conditions for female cadres to promote the traditions of Vietnamese women "Confident, self-respecting, loyal, and responsible", "Good at public affairs, good at housework", striving, contributing their intelligence and talent to society and taking care of and cultivating family happiness, contributing to the completion of the political tasks of the agency and unit.
Take care of and protect the rights of female union members and workers
Looking back at 2023, from the beginning of the year, the work of caring for and protecting the legitimate and legal rights and interests of female union members and workers has been highly valued by the Trade Unions at all levels. The VBSP Trade Union has directed grassroots Trade Unions at all levels to effectively carry out the work of inspecting and supervising the implementation of policies and regulations related to female workers such as: salary policy, bonus, health insurance, social insurance, wages, overtime pay and maternity regime, working conditions and employment; creating conditions for women to take care of reproductive health, and providing post-natal support for 71 female workers.
In 2023, the VBSP Trade Union supported 16 female union members with serious illnesses and unusual accidents. Gave gifts and supported 08 retired women according to the regime; Gave gifts on the occasion of July 27 to 769 female cadres whose relatives are war invalids, sick soldiers, and those infected with Agent Orange. The attention, encouragement, and sharing of material and spiritual things are the driving force that helps women overcome difficult circumstances, feel secure in their work, and strive to complete their assigned tasks well.
The Women's Union has been proactive and creative in advising, proposing, organizing, and implementing women's work and the movement of female union members and workers; advising on organizing many practical activities, contributing to better care for female workers and rewarding students with high academic achievements. Typically, on the occasion of the 113th anniversary of International Women's Day and the 93rd anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Women's Union, the VBSP Trade Union launched the "Ao Dai Week" in 2023, mobilizing female cadres to wear Ao Dai from March 1, 2023 to March 8, 2023 to spread the beauty of Ao Dai, creating a beautiful image of VBSP women at the workplace. At the same time, the VBSP Trade Union has rewarded female union members and workers in the system.
The grassroots trade unions in the system have organized many activities to celebrate International Women's Day March 8 and Vietnamese Women's Day October 20 in many rich and diverse forms, attracting a large number of female union members and workers to participate such as: organizing seminars, meetings to review traditions; giving flowers and gifts to women; cooking competitions, flower arrangement competitions, sports competitions, art competitions; organizing visits to historical sites, scenic spots, Teambuilding, picnics combined with art and sports exchanges...
Many commemorative activities were organized in a rich and diverse form, attracting a large number of female union members and workers of the Social Policy Bank to participate.
Promoting the potential and strengths of female cadres
In the first 6 months of 2023, the VBSP has completed the Board for the Advancement of Women of the VBSP, directed branches to develop a plan to implement the work "For the Advancement of Women in 2023". Propaganda work has been promoted to promote traditions, potentials, strengths and the spirit of mastery, the desire to rise up, and build Vietnamese women of the new era. Improve the quality of female human resources, meet the requirements of sustainable development and international integration.
At the same time, the Party Committee, the Board of Directors and the Trade Union of the Social Policy Bank always pay attention to the work of cadres, especially female cadres. The work of training, fostering and coaching to improve the professional qualifications and skills of female union members and workers is of interest to the units. The Women's Union proactively advises the government to create conditions for female union members and workers of the agency to participate in courses to improve their skills and expertise; advises the unit's leaders in planning, training, fostering and appointing female cadres to the leadership apparatus of the Party, government, unions, etc. This is also an opportunity for women to rise up and affirm their role and position.
In addition, the Women's Union at all levels has advised the VBSP Trade Union to launch emulation campaigns to all female union members and workers; focusing on the emulation movements "Good at Banking, Good at Housework", "Women actively study, work creatively, build happy families". The grassroots trade unions have specified the emulation contents and standards to suit each unit, promptly commending and rewarding collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements in emulation movements. In 2023, the Executive Committee of the VBSP Trade Union considered awarding Certificates of Merit to 73 collectives and 77 individuals; proposed that the Vietnam Bank Trade Union award Certificates of Merit to 2 collectives and 03 individuals "Good at Banking, Good at Housework".
In 2024, the VBSP Trade Union will continue to work with the Women's Unions at all levels to improve women's work, from focusing on propagating and educating union members and employees of the VBSP to comply with and strictly implement the regulations and political tasks of the banking sector in 2024; encouraging union members and employees to actively study, improve their political level, professional skills, and have a sense of self-cultivation and training of ethics and professional culture.
