Raising the issue at the meeting, the Prime Minister emphasized: Quang Tri is a land rich in heroic historical traditions, where more than 76 thousand heroic martyrs have fallen on this land. That heroic and tragic past is a great motivation for Quang Tri to promote the spirit of solidarity, resilience, and non-pity, "Turning nothing into something, turning difficult into easy, turning impossible into possible"; are natural factors such as sun and wind, although fierce, but with the power of technology, can be turned into advantages for developing renewable energy.
Quang Tri is a locality with a rich and convenient transportation system, easily connecting the East-West and North-South economic corridors. From these potential strengths, the Executive Committee and the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee must strengthen leadership, direction, and development strategies, including effectively mobilizing resources, doing a good job of planning, especially preserving and promoting solidarity and unity to join hands in building the homeland of Quang Tri increasingly prosperous.

On behalf of the Standing Committee of the Quang Tri Provincial Party Committee, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Phong reported to the Prime Minister and the working delegation on the results of the implementation of socio-economic development tasks in the first 6 months of 2025, resolutions and conclusions of the Central Committee. In the first 6 months of the year, the total product in the area (GRDP) increased by 7.48%, ranking 23rd out of 34 provinces and cities; budget revenue reached more than 6,800 billion VND/12,000 billion VND, up 17.6% over the same period.

In the coming time, Quang Tri will focus on effectively operating the two-level local government, determined to achieve the target of GRDP growth in 2025 of 8% or more. Promote disbursement of public investment capital, accelerate the progress of key projects to be completed and put into use in 2025; continue to implement planning work, especially the planning of the province after the merger. Start construction of 3 resettlement projects to serve the site clearance of the North-South High-Speed Railway project, 3 social housing projects; accelerate the progress of Quang Trach I Thermal Power Plant, Hai Lang LNG project, Passenger Terminal T2 - Dong Hoi Airport, My Thuy Port Area.

Quang Tri province requested the Prime Minister to direct ministries and branches to pay attention and promptly resolve the province's recommendations such as investing in building a synchronous transport infrastructure system, connecting East - West; removing difficulties for industrial and energy projects; considering allowing the use of aid capital for Laos from the central budget to support the construction and upgrading of two routes from Na Phau border gate to Kham Muon province; the route from Ta Oi district (Sa-la-van) through Nong district to Ban Dong, Se Pon (Sa-van-na-khet); ministries and branches promptly issue legal regulations after the arrangement of administrative units...

Concluding the meeting, the Prime Minister acknowledged, commended and congratulated the important achievements of Quang Tri province in recent times, especially the implementation of the two-level local government. Along with pointing out some difficulties and limitations, the Prime Minister suggested that Quang Tri maximize the potentials and distinct advantages of the locality to build an increasingly prosperous province.

In the context of limited resources, it is necessary to arrange investment with focus and key points.
