At the end of June 2024, DDIF decided to finance the Lien Chieu Industrial Park Wastewater Treatment Plant Phase 2 project, with a capacity of 2,000m³/day and night, invested by Saigon - Da Nang Investment Joint Stock Company with a maximum loan of VND 14.7 billion, interest rate of 6.5%/year, loan term of 6 years, grace period of 09 months.
Construction was started from the third quarter of 2023 and is expected to be put into operation from October 2024 after completing equipment installation. The project aims to collect and treat wastewater generated from production activities of enterprises in Lien Chieu Industrial Park before discharging it into the environment, contributing to the sustainable development of Lien Chieu Industrial Park in particular and the city in general.
Previously, in May 2024, DDIF and Danapha Pharmaceutical Joint Stock Company signed a credit contract to finance investment capital for the Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Factory and High-Tech Research and Development Center project with a total capital of VND 80 billion.
The Pharmaceutical Factory and High-tech Research and Development Center Project of Danapha Pharmaceutical Joint Stock Company is invested in a land area of over 3,000 m2 in Da Nang High-Tech Park. Up to now, the main items of the project have been basically completed.

When completed and put into operation, the project will be a modern production site with high automation, closed production lines, synchronous equipment with 100% new machinery imported from reputable pharmaceutical equipment manufacturers in Europe, meeting the "Good Manufacturing Practices of Medicines according to European standards (EU-GMP)" in the city.
At the same time, it will create products with quality equivalent to products compared to the US FDA and European EMA lists, produced on EU-GMP standard technology lines and with prices reduced by half compared to imported products.
From there, contributing to creating pharmaceutical products with safe, effective and quality nanotechnology, ensuring the provision of medical examination and treatment services for people in the city and the whole country as well as expanding export markets abroad.
Currently, DDIF is focusing on accelerating the disbursement of loan capital for the project to help shorten the construction and equipment installation time to put the project into operation according to the set plan.
The Pharmaceutical Factory and High-tech Research and Development Center project is on the list of investment sectors eligible for interest rate support according to Resolution No. 84/2022/NQ-HDND dated December 15, 2022 of the City People's Council stipulating the interest rate support policy for organizations borrowing capital to invest in important socio -economic development projects in Da Nang city. Accordingly, the interest rate supported for the project is 3%/year and the support period does not exceed 05 years from the date of first disbursement.
Caring for and supporting businesses to overcome difficulties and access policies is one of the important tasks for the city's economic development.
At the 19th session of the City People's Council, term X, term 2021-2026 at the end of July 2024, the leaders of the City People's Council once again emphasized that in the coming time, it is necessary to focus on researching and proposing mechanisms and policies to support businesses, creating favorable conditions for businesses to access and enjoy policies.
It can be seen that with the loan capital from DDIF and the efforts of the enterprises themselves, it will actively contribute to promoting the socio-economic development of the city. From there, we will aim to synchronously and effectively implement the goals of the 2024 Theme "Promoting administrative reform, strengthening discipline, continuing to unblock investment resources, promoting economic growth and ensuring social security".
