Many "view hunting" projects seriously violate construction order

According to the People's Committee of Lak district, after the People's Representative Newspaper reported on the phenomenon of many illegal constructions on National Highway 27 in Krong No commune, the local government conducted inspections and verifications. The results showed that in Buon Lach Dong and Buon Ba Yang, at least three cases of serious violations of regulations on land management, use and construction order were discovered.

Specifically, on October 8, 2024, the People's Committee of Krong No commune issued a violation report against Mr. Le Tan Tai for arbitrarily leveling the ground and illegally building prefabricated houses on the land of the National Highway 27 traffic corridor, Dak Hiu bridge area. Despite the commitment to temporarily stop construction and the notice requesting suspension from October 7, 2024, Mr. Tai continued to expand the leveling area, affecting the positive slope of the national highway and the area near the hydroelectric reservoir.

In Ba Yang village, on March 6, 2025, the Commune People's Committee inspected and discovered that Mr. Vu Tien Dat had built a steel frame and corrugated iron roof structure with an area of ​​about 300m², and illegally leveled about 1,000m² of land within the Buon Tua Srah hydropower reservoir. This structure seriously violated the road safety corridor. Although the Commune People's Committee had issued a notice requesting its dismantling since March 10, 2025, to date, the structure has not been completely handled.

The Commune People's Committee continued to inspect and requested Mr. Dat to dismantle it before April 29, 2025 or he would be forced to do so.

Criticize the commune chairman for lax management

Lak District People's Committee assessed that the Krong No commune government did not strictly implement the instructions of superiors, was lax in inspection, supervision and handling of violations, leading to complicated illegal construction, affecting planning, landscape and traffic infrastructure safety.

Lak District requested the People's Committee of Krong No Commune to urgently inspect and thoroughly handle violations within its authority, and report the results to the District People's Committee before April 30, 2025. The Commune Party Committee was requested to strengthen direction, improve the responsibility of cadres, and resolutely not let new violations arise.

Speaking to a reporter from the People's Representative Newspaper, Mr. Vu Tien Dat (residing in Lam Dong province) said that he did not encroach on the lake bed or traffic corridor, because he "bought the land from someone else". He also said that the project was built for business and residential purposes, similar to other households in the area.

However, according to the People's Committee of Lak district, all acts of illegal leveling and construction on unlicensed land, land with unchangeable land use purposes, especially land within the protected area of ​​the lake bed and traffic corridor, are violations of the law and will be strictly handled according to current regulations.
