According to this decision, the Tan Phu - Bao Loc Expressway Project has a length of nearly 66km, including nearly 12km through Dong Nai province and nearly 54km through Lam Dong province. The project starts at the intersection with the end point of the Dau Giay - Tan Phu Expressway Project in Phu Trung commune, Tan Phu district, Dong Nai province; the end point is at the intersection with Nguyen Van Cu street, Bao Loc city, Lam Dong province.
The Tan Phu - Bao Loc Expressway Project has a design speed of 80km/h and is being invested in phases. Phase 1 has a scale of 4 lanes, a roadbed width of 17m, with an emergency lane arranged intermittently, and the completed phase has a scale of 4 lanes, a roadbed width of 22m. In phase 1, the route will have 3 interchange locations, 7 bridges on cross-roads crossing the expressway, 3 bridges on the intersection branch crossing the expressway and it is expected to have 30 residential underpasses.
Along with that, the project will also invest in building a system of works serving management and operation such as toll collection system, ITS system, traffic control center... The total investment of the Tan Phu - Bao Loc Expressway Project in the phase is more than 18 trillion VND, of which the state budget capital participating in the project is 6.5 trillion VND, accounting for more than 36% of the total investment; investor capital is more than 11 trillion VND, accounting for nearly 64% of the total investment.
The estimated time for toll collection and project capital recovery is 23 years and 9 months.
The Tan Phu - Bao Loc Expressway Project is invested in construction with the aim of completing the expressway system from Dau Giay to Lien Khuong according to the plan. Thereby, improving the ability to connect with the national transport network, shortening the time to connect the Central Highlands provinces with the Southern key economic region and economic, social and industrial centers along National Highway 20.
Improve the capacity of transporting goods and foreign trade, meet increasing demand, reduce traffic congestion and accidents on National Highway 20 which is currently overloaded, especially traffic black spots in the Bao Loc Pass area.
