36th session of the National Assembly Standing Committee: Closing of the question and answer session - Lang Son Electronic Newspaper

- On the morning of August 22, continuing the working program, the National Assembly Standing Committee organized a question-and-answer session on the implementation of the resolutions of the National Assembly Standing Committee on thematic supervision and questioning from the beginning of the 15th National Assembly term to the end of 2023 and closed the question-and-answer session. Comrade Tran Thanh Man, Politburo member, Chairman of the National Assembly chaired the meeting.

 

The question and answer session was connected online with 62 National Assembly delegations in provinces and centrally-run cities.

Attending the meeting at the provincial bridge were comrades: Hoang Van Nghiem, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation; Ho Tien Thieu, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Doan Thi Hau, Member of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Council; Provincial National Assembly Deputies; leaders of relevant departments, branches and sectors of the province.

At the meeting, the National Assembly deputies continued to question and debate the second group of issues, including: justice; internal affairs; security, order, and social safety; inspection; court; and prosecution.

Accordingly, the National Assembly deputies questioned the following issues: difficulties in organizing online court sessions; removing obstacles in asset valuation in criminal cases; mechanisms and policies for cadres, civil servants, and non-professional workers at the commune level when they quit their jobs due to administrative unit reorganization; roadmap for perfecting the institution on administrative proceedings; attracting excellent students, young scientists , and talented people to the public sector...

The questions were answered and clarified by the Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Justice; Chief Justice of the Supreme People's Court; Chief Prosecutor of the Supreme People's Procuracy; Minister of Public Security; and Minister of Home Affairs.

During the program, Comrade Le Thanh Long, Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Justice, spoke to clarify a number of related issues under the responsibility of the Government, regarding the contents of the question and answer session. The Deputy Prime Minister affirmed that the socio-economic situation in the first 7 months of 2024 of our country continued to have a positive development trend, and at the same time provided more information on a number of related issues in the areas being questioned and answered.

He hopes to continue receiving the attention, support and supervision of the National Assembly, the Vietnam Fatherland Front, political and social organizations, unions, National Assembly deputies and people and voters nationwide, to strive to achieve the highest goals, tasks and plans for 2024, contributing to the successful implementation of the socio-economic development tasks for the 5 years 2021 - 2025 according to the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress and the resolutions of the National Assembly.

Concluding the question and answer session, the National Assembly Chairman affirmed that after 1.5 days of serious work, with a constructive spirit and high responsibility, the question and answer program at the 36th Session of the National Assembly Standing Committee had completed all the contents of the proposed program.

During the session, 75 National Assembly deputies spoke, of which 66 deputies questioned, 9 deputies debated, and 11 deputies registered but were not allowed to speak due to time running out. The National Assembly Chairman requested that National Assembly deputies send their questions through the Secretary General of the National Assembly to send to members of the Government and heads of sectors for written responses according to regulations.

He highly appreciated the National Assembly deputies for showing high responsibility, carefully studying the reports, asking short, clear, focused questions, going straight to the point; Government members and sector heads grasped the current situation of their sectors and fields, basically answered fully, frankly, explained, clarified many issues and proposed solutions for effective implementation in the coming time.

He requested the Government, ministers and heads of sectors to fully absorb the opinions of National Assembly deputies, continue to resolutely, synchronously and comprehensively implement the resolutions of the National Assembly Standing Committee on thematic supervision and questioning; focus on promptly, fully and effectively overcoming shortcomings and limitations in each field.

Based on the results of the questioning session, the National Assembly Standing Committee will issue a resolution on questioning with specific requirements for each content, clearly stating the implementation and completion time.
