A strong people makes the country prosperous. I hope that all our people will try to exercise", "We should launch a widespread sports movement".

Implementing Uncle Ho's teachings, in recent years, Hai Ba Trung district has had many policies and strategies to promote and develop the sports movement, promote the positive effects of sports in improving health, contribute to enriching the spiritual and cultural life, build a healthy lifestyle for the people, and push back social evils. The Sports Congress is the pinnacle activity of the movement "All people exercise following the example of great Uncle Ho".

Comrade Nguyen Thi Ngoc Anh said: Since its inception, the Bach Mai ward government has urgently and simultaneously implemented many key political tasks to quickly stabilize the operations of the new government, maintain socio-economic development, and ensure people's lives. In particular, maintaining the mass sports movement has received great attention in order to actively contribute to the cause of comprehensive human development, contributing to promoting labor production, study, economic development and ensuring national security and defense.

The Ward People's Committee and its affiliated units have organized many sports competitions in the area, focusing on a series of sports competitions to welcome the First Congress of the Ward Party Committee, term 2025-2030, attracting more than 1,500 athletes to participate. The movement of physical exercise among the masses has been promoted, demonstrated by the most specific numbers, the number of people participating in regular exercise is always over 45%, the number of sports families is always over 38%... Many sports teams have become the main spearheads of the City such as table tennis, aerobics, athletics, etc.

The sports competitions within the framework of the 1st Ward Sports Congress have attracted a large number of people, students, cadres, civil servants, armed forces officers and soldiers to participate. Notable among them are the 2025 football tournament for civil servants and armed forces, the 2025 tug-of-war tournament for education and residential groups, the Pickleball tournament... and a series of 12 student sports competitions such as football, badminton, swimming... which have been successfully organized. In particular, the recent sports competitions have attracted the participation of many universities and high schools in the area.

The sports tournaments were organized thoughtfully, safely, economically, and healthily, becoming a place for both competition and solidarity exchange between units and forces, receiving the attention of sectors, levels as well as the masses, proving that the sports movement of Bach Mai ward is always ready to maintain, sustain and develop in the new period.

At the 1st Bach Mai Ward Sports Festival, athletes will compete in 12 sports with 76 events. The athletes with the best results will be selected to participate in training and compete at the 11th Capital Sports Festival.

The congress aims to mobilize people of all walks of life; encourage everyone to compete in physical training, improve the quality of the mass physical training and sports movement, create conditions for the development of ethnic sports and traditional sports in the locality; discover and nurture outstanding athletes to participate in city and national sports competitions.
