The Vietnam Plastics Association recently held a ceremony to celebrate its 35th anniversary, marking an important milestone for the Vietnamese plastics industry. The event not only honored the achievements but also opened a dialogue on development orientation in the new era. Mr. Nguyen Van Tho - Permanent Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee attended and congratulated the industry's achievements.

From a supporting industry, after 35 years of development, the plastic industry has become one of the key industries of the economy . It is forecasted that by 2024, the Vietnamese plastic industry will reach a scale of 32 billion USD, with nearly 5,000 enterprises and exports to more than 190 countries.
Acknowledging and congratulating the achievements of the plastics industry over the past 35 years, Standing Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Nguyen Van Tho affirmed: "The leaders of Ho Chi Minh City will create all favorable conditions for the plastics industry to expand investment, digital transformation and participate deeply in the global value chain. The city will also research and support to promote the connection between the plastics industry and supporting industries, strengthen cooperation between enterprises, research institutes and universities, to improve technological capacity, develop high-quality human resources and aim for green production, circulation, and sustainable development".




Experts, management agencies and member businesses attended the celebration ceremony.
The celebration is also an opportunity to honor outstanding member businesses in the 2020 - 2025 period with active activities associated with the Association's programs.
