Da Nang promotes cooperation with Daegu Digital Innovation Promotion Institute (Korea)

DNO - On October 23, in Daegu city (South Korea), a delegation from the Danang Center for Innovation and Startup Support (Department of Science and Technology) visited and worked with the Daegu Digital Innovation Promotion Institute.

At the meeting, Mr. Nguyen Viet Toan, Director of the Danang Center for Supporting Startups and Innovation, introduced the city's policies and guidelines in supporting the startup and innovation ecosystem.

Currently, the city is implementing investment connection activities and developing the innovation market, especially at the annual events of Danang Innovation Startup Festival - SURF and Danang Venture and Angel Forum - DAVAS.

Mr. Min Jung Gi, President of Daegu Digital Innovation Promotion Institute, informed about the institute. This is an agency under the Daegu City Government, with the function of promoting digital transformation and developing high-tech industries.

The Institute focuses on research and development in the fields of artificial intelligence (AI), big data, and blockchain technology, and operates technology testing centers (Test-bed) and the Suseong Alpha City Innovation Center to support startups, innovation, and digital human resource development.

Mr. Min Jung Gi also introduced Daegu's technology application models, such as AI in business management, blockchain in supply chain transparency, and big data analysis for market forecasting. These experiences are considered suitable for the development orientation of digital transformation and information technology of Da Nang city.

On this occasion, the two sides signed a memorandum of understanding on cooperation and proposed specific cooperation mechanisms such as promoting technology transfer in the fields of information technology, AI and related industries through Da Nang enterprises.

At the same time, organize demonstrations and introduce Daegu's technology solutions at innovation and technology events taking place in Da Nang; cooperate in training and developing digital human resources, strengthen connections with universities in the city to implement short-term internship programs in Korea.
