The working session aimed to grasp the implementation of the Government 's regulations on management and development of industrial clusters; review difficulties and obstacles in the process of implementing regulations on management and development of industrial clusters and related laws; discuss proposals to amend and supplement the provisions of Decree No. 32/2024/ND-CP to ensure the synchronization and unity of the legal system, improve the effectiveness of management and investment in developing industrial clusters in the province in the coming time.

An Giang province has 47 planned industrial clusters with a total area of over 2,155 hectares, of which 10 clusters have been established and approved for detailed construction planning and investment policies, with a total area of 271.75 hectares. 8 clusters have come into operation, attracting 27 investment projects, with a total registered investment capital of over 7,350 billion VND; the average occupancy rate is over 80%; creating jobs for over 14,000 workers.

However, the implementation of infrastructure investment in many clusters is still facing difficulties due to lack of clean land, high leveling costs and problems in procedures for selecting investors according to new regulations of the Investment Law and Decree 32/2024/ND-CP. Based on the policy to support investment in industrial cluster infrastructure in Decree 32/2024/ND-CP, the Department of Industry and Trade has advised the Provincial People's Committee to submit to the Provincial People's Council a resolution regulating support for investment in construction of technical infrastructure of industrial clusters in the province. The province supports 30% of the total investment capital for construction of technical infrastructure of industrial clusters, after the project is completed and put into operation. Since its promulgation, there has been no project eligible for support under the provisions of this policy...
Speaking at the working session, comrade Nguyen Thi Hoa highly appreciated An Giang province's efforts in proactively implementing Decree 32/2024/ND-CP of the Government, especially in reviewing, planning and attracting investment in industrial clusters after the province's merger.

Especially, improve environmental management in industrial clusters in the area; pay attention to developing industrial clusters in a specialized direction, attracting manufacturing enterprises towards high technology, innovation, ecological industry, towards sustainable development. At the same time, strengthen investment promotion to improve the operational efficiency of industrial clusters in the area; strengthen inspection and examination to help the management of industrial clusters in the area become more and more effective ...”, Comrade Nguyen Thi Hoa emphasized.
