Huynh Quoc Thai, Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Inspection Committee of An Giang Province, and Chairman of the People's Council of Long Xuyen Ward, delivered the opening speech at the meeting.
At the meeting, delegates voted to relieve Mr. Huynh Quoc Thai, former Party Secretary and Chairman of the People's Council of Long Xuyen Ward, from his position as Chairman of the People's Council of Long Xuyen Ward, term 2021-2026, so that he could take on the role of Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Inspection Committee, term 2025-2030.

At the meeting, delegates also heard presentations and verification reports from the two committees of the Long Xuyen Ward People's Council, and voted to approve four important resolutions, including: a resolution deciding on the staffing of civil servants in specialized agencies and administrative organizations, and the number of employees receiving salaries from the state budget in public service units under the Long Xuyen Ward People's Committee in 2025; a resolution approving the allocation of the 2025 public investment plan from the Long Xuyen Ward budget; a resolution adjusting and supplementing socio -economic development targets for the last six months of 2025; and a resolution confirming the results of the dismissal of the Chairman of the Long Xuyen Ward People's Council, term I, 2021-2026.
The Standing Committee of the Long Xuyen Ward Party Committee presented flowers to congratulate Comrade Huynh Quoc Thai.
In his closing remarks at the session, Vice Chairman of the Long Xuyen Ward People's Council, Duong Thanh Hung, respectfully acknowledged and thanked Comrade Huynh Quoc Thai for his contributions to the overall development of the ward. Throughout his time working at the Ward Party Committee and People's Committee, with a high sense of responsibility to the Party Committee, the government, voters, and the people, he, together with the Ward Party Committee and the Standing Committee of the Ward People's Council, focused on leading, managing, innovating, and improving the effectiveness and efficiency of the People's Council's activities, making timely and correct decisions, creating momentum for socio-economic development, ensuring national defense and security, and contributing to the successful implementation of the Resolution of the Long Xuyen Ward Party Congress.
