Closing the trading session on the Ho Chi Minh City Stock Exchange, the total transaction value reached over 23,000 billion VND, a sharp increase compared to nearly 17,000 billion VND at the end of last week thanks to investors stepping up bottom fishing.

SHB achieved the highest liquidity with more than 1,200 billion VND transferred; followed by VHM with nearly 830 billion VND, VIX (721 billion VND)... Foreign investors sold slightly. This group bought more than 2,246 billion VND and sold more than 2,280 billion VND.
At the opening of the trading session, buying pressure was quite good, helping the market to appear green. However, by 9:30 a.m., selling pressure increased, pushing the VN-Index to appear red, at times falling more than 20 points, close to 1,292 points.
After the market fell sharply, bottom-fishing demand increased, helping to slow down the decline. At the end of the morning trading session, the VN-Index stopped at 1,309.67 points, down 4.79 points.
In the afternoon session, the demand became stronger towards the end, helping the market recover quickly and increase sharply. At the end of the session, VN-Index increased by 18.05 points (1.37%), to 1,332.51 points; VN30-Index stopped at 1,423.85 points, up 14.45 points (1.03%).
Increasing stocks dominated with 253 stocks going up and 72 stocks going down. In the VN30 group, the number of increasing stocks was 5 times higher than decreasing stocks (21 stocks and 4 stocks).
Most sectors increased in price; in which, consumer goods and decoration, real estate, vehicles and components, entertainment and media, insurance were the most prominent sectors. Consumer services was the only sector that went against the market.
VHM is the code that contributed the most to the market with 4.7 points when increasing 6.83%; followed by GVR with more than 1.8 points, VIC (1.35 points)...
On the Hanoi Stock Exchange, the HNX-Index stopped at 219.41 points, up 3.09 points (1.43%); the HNX30-Index reached 439.53 points after gaining 12.3 points (2.88%). The entire exchange had 1,240 billion VND changed hands.
