Preparatory session of the 1st Congress of Dong Thap Provincial Party Committee, term 2025-2030

The theme of the Congress is “Building a clean and strong Party organization and political system; promoting innovation, rapidly developing industry, building a modern, ecological agriculture; improving the quality of people's lives; firmly ensuring national defense and security”.

With the motto of action: "Solidarity - Democracy - Discipline - Breakthrough - Development", the Congress is a major event, crystallizing good traditional cultural values, the spirit of unity, inheriting valuable achievements that generations of cadres, party members and people of the province have worked hard to cultivate.

The Congress has 450 official delegates, including 52 ex-officio delegates and 398 delegates appointed from Party Committees under the Provincial Party Committee, representing more than 120,676 Party members in Dong Thap province.

At the Congress, comrade Le Quoc Phong, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation, presided over the election of the Presidium, Secretariat, and the Congress Delegate Qualification Examination Board.

The Congress elected a Presidium of 16 comrades, a Congress Secretariat of 5 comrades, and a Congress Delegate Qualification Examination Board of 7 comrades.

The 1st Congress of Dong Thap Provincial Party Committee, term 2025-2030 was held on September 30 and October 1.

The congress will focus on main contents, summarizing the implementation of the resolution of the Dong Thap Provincial Party Congress for the 2020-2025 term and achievements after 40 years of innovation; viewpoints, goals, tasks, and development solutions for the 2025-2030 term; discussing and contributing opinions to the draft documents of the 14th National Party Congress.

Before the preparatory session, the delegation attending the 1st Dong Thap Provincial Party Congress led by comrade Le Quoc Phong, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation visited, reported achievements, offered incense, and commemorated heroic martyrs at the Dong Thap Provincial Martyrs Cemetery in Trung An ward.
