Kung Fu Panda 4 has been a long-awaited project after the third film achieved certain success. At the CinemaCon event, Jack Black, the actor who voices the panda character Po, represented Dreamworks Animation to share about this latest project.
In part 4 of the Kung Fu Panda franchise, Po will face unprecedented challenges.
According to actor Jack Black, after fighting Kai, the villain who terrified everyone in part 3, in part 4 he "will face his biggest challenge yet. But will he survive that challenge?".
After going through hardships in the previous parts, especially defeating the powerful villain Kai, Po will become the spiritual leader of the Valley of Peace, and must prepare many important things when being chosen as the Dragon Warrior.
However, Po once again faces a new enemy, the Chameleon, who may recruit other villains from the past. Jack Black says that Po must work hard to train new skills to deal with the powerful enemy. At the same time, he continues: "Po must defeat each and every one of them."
Although Po was trained through the previous films, he still had to work very hard in the fourth film.
Filmmaker Mike Mitchell ( The Lego Movie 2: The Second Part , Trolls , Shrek Forever ) will take the director's chair for this latest project. Animator Stephanie Ma Stine ( How to Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World ) will co-direct with Mike Mitchell. The project's production position is assigned to Rebecca Huntley ( The Bad Guys ). It can be said that the filmmakers in charge of the Kung Fu Panda 4 project are all famous names in the animation industry. The film is scheduled to hit theaters on March 8, 2024.
