According to statistics from the independent box office website Box Office Vietnam for the past weekend (November 7-9), the top 3 positions on the Vietnamese box office revenue chart were all occupied by foreign films, although their revenue wasn't particularly explosive.

Leading the box office last week was the action-adventure film *The Invisible Beast: Land of the Dead* , grossing over 6.5 billion VND with 57,288 tickets sold and 3,420 screenings.

This film also premiered simultaneously in North America last week, topping the box office charts with $40 million in revenue.

Closely following the box office rankings is a brand quite familiar to Vietnamese audiences: "Pee Mak Phra Khanong 2025: I'm Falling in Love with Mak ." This is the sequel in the "Pee Mak Phra Khanong" series , which is very popular with Vietnamese audiences. However, this latest installment has not been as successful as expected, only grossing over 5.9 billion VND with nearly 63,000 tickets sold.

The third spot this past week went to the relatively unknown horror film *Cinderella's Curse* , with a revenue of just over 3.2 billion VND.

Among the top 5 at the box office, there are two Vietnamese films, both of which were released earlier: " The Foreigner's Golden Cuckoo" with over 3 billion VND in revenue, bringing its total to over 80 billion VND; and "Cai Ma, " despite facing much controversy, maintaining its 5th position with nearly 2.3 billion VND in revenue, reaching a total of over 18 billion VND.

This past week, two new Vietnamese films, Thai Chieu Tai and Trai Tim Que Quat, were not very successful.

Thai Chieu Tai ranked 7th with revenue of just over 1.5 billion VND. Including revenue from early screenings and advance ticket sales, the film's total revenue currently exceeds 2.3 billion VND.

Meanwhile, "The Crippled Heart" rounded out the top 10 but still hadn't reached 500 million VND. Currently, the film has only grossed over 560 million VND in total.

The remaining films in the top 10 include: Godzilla minus one, Grave of the Fireflies , and Disruptive: Mom's Birthday .

This week, the market welcomes several highly anticipated new releases.

Notably, the Vietnamese film "Searching for Ambergris" features a cast of familiar faces: Quang Tuan, Ma Ran Do, Hoang Toc Dai, Nguyen Thao, Doan Quoc Dam, etc.

The foreign films released this week are also quality works: No Snowflake Is Pure, Escape from Death, The Monk Meets the Clumsy Monk, and The Mountain of the Dead .
