Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan attends the Patriotic Emulation Congress of Quang Ninh province

On the morning of September 9, Quang Ninh province organized the 6th Patriotic Emulation Congress (2025 - 2030) with the theme 'Emulation to innovate, create, accelerate, and break through to build a model Quang Ninh, contributing to bringing the country into an era of strong, civilized, and prosperous development'. Attending the Congress were Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan, First Vice President of the Central Emulation and Reward Council; and more than 350 delegates representing collectives, Heroes, Emulation Fighters, and advanced models in the province.

Speaking at the Congress, Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan, First Vice President of the Central Emulation and Reward Council, acknowledged and highly appreciated the outstanding results and achievements in the patriotic emulation movement of Quang Ninh province in the 2020-2025 period, contributing to the outstanding achievements in socio-economic development of the province as well as the country.

The Vice President highly appreciated the development aspirations and solutions proposed by the Patriotic Emulation Congress of Quang Ninh province; suggested that the locality continue to promote the tradition of "Discipline - Unity", improve the leadership capacity, fighting strength of the Party, the management capacity of the government, continue to overcome difficulties and challenges to focus on implementing political tasks, building a rich, beautiful, civilized and modern province.

Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan requested the locality to actively complete documents to successfully organize the Provincial Party Congress; continue to thoroughly grasp the Central's instructions on building a patriotic emulation movement; believe that the patriotic emulation movement of Quang Ninh province will have more positive changes, contributing more to the overall development of the country.

“The work of commendation must continue to be innovated, close to reality; must be based on the effectiveness and results of emulation movements and achievements, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, democracy, objectivity, right person for the right job, educational and exemplary. Comrades need to pay attention to commending the subjects at the grassroots level, collectives and individuals directly involved in work, labor, production and combat; continue to improve the quality, efficiency of operations and remuneration for the team doing emulation and commendation work at all levels,” said Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan.

On this occasion, Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan, Chairwoman of the Board of Trustees of the Vietnam Children's Fund, presented gifts to disadvantaged children in Quang Ninh province. This gift shows respect and affirms the deep concern of the Party and State for children's work, and is a valuable source of encouragement for Quang Ninh province to continue to make greater efforts in the work of caring for, educating and protecting children, contributing to building the future generation of the country.

Reporting at the congress, Mr. Vu Van Dien, Standing Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Quang Ninh province, said that in the past 5 years, the patriotic emulation movement in Quang Ninh has taken place in a context of both many opportunities and advantages, and facing many difficulties and challenges such as extreme weather, unusual epidemics, especially the Covid-19 pandemic and the historic storm No. 3 (Yagi) which caused severe impacts. However, with the tradition of "Discipline and Unity", the Party Committee, government and people of the province have united, strived to compete, maintained stability and achieved many important and comprehensive achievements in all fields.

Quang Ninh province's economy maintains high growth, estimated at 10.4%/year in the 2021 - 2025 period, 1.7 times higher than the national average. The economic scale in 2025 is estimated at 395,000 billion VND, 1.9 times higher than in 2020; GRDP per capita reaches over 11,000 USD, 2.24 times higher than the national average.

Many emulation movements have left a clear mark such as "Quang Ninh joins hands to build new rural areas", "For the poor - No one is left behind" helping 100% of communes meet new rural standards, more than 50% of communes meet advanced standards, over 30% of communes meet model standards, making Quang Ninh the first province to complete the task of building new rural areas in the period of 2021 - 2025, finishing 2 years early; The movements "All people protect national security", "All people participate in protecting territorial sovereignty and national border security" were deployed synchronously and effectively, becoming a model to be replicated nationwide.

From emulation movements, many typical examples of progress, good people and good deeds have shone, spreading profound human values. These are the warm humanity during the pandemic and storms and floods, the spirit of "helping each other" of the people in the Mining region; the message of "giving is forever" through acts of organ donation to save lives; businessmen building "zero-dong boarding houses" for poor patients; heroic soldiers sacrificing for the peace of the people; or simple but noble actions of the people such as protecting the environment, helping the disadvantaged, picking up lost items and returning them to their owners...

Each example and each good action has contributed to fostering the system of human values of Quang Ninh: "Courage - Self-reliance - Discipline - Solidarity - Affection - Generosity - Creativity - Civilization", affirming the spirit of readiness to contribute to the community, for the prosperous development of the homeland and country.
