Stating that Vietnam aims to build a prosperous and happy country, becoming a high-income developed nation by 2045, the President said that to realize this vision, Vietnam has undertaken strong institutional reforms, improved the quality of human resources, and built infrastructure, considering these as core drivers for development. Specifically, Vietnam has completed the restructuring of the two-tiered local government system nationwide, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness; amended and perfected important laws such as the Investment Law, the Enterprise Law, and the Land Law, creating a transparent and open business environment; implemented the National Digital Transformation Strategy, reformed administrative procedures, built an e-government, and promoted innovation, the green economy, and renewable energy.
The President called on the US business community to seize the opportunity, expand their presence and invest on a larger and deeper scale in Vietnam, to jointly create a new era of cooperation that is promising and sustainable; and affirmed that the Vietnamese State is committed to creating the most favorable conditions for US investors to confidently choose Vietnam as a long-term destination, working together to build a prosperous and sustainable future.
