Welcoming Minister Yasar Guler and the high-ranking delegation of the Turkish Ministry of National Defense to an official visit to Vietnam, the President expressed his belief that the delegation's visit will contribute to promoting the friendship and multifaceted cooperation between Vietnam and Turkey in general, as well as defense cooperation in particular. Through the Minister, the President sent his best regards and congratulations to Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

Assessing that the cooperation between the two countries has had positive developments in recent times, in line with the development trend in the new period, the President affirmed that Vietnam always attaches importance to strengthening friendly relations with Turkey for the benefit of the people of the two countries, as well as for peace , stability, cooperation and development in each region and in the world.

Expressing his gratitude to the President for taking the time to receive him, Turkish Defense Minister Yasar Guler expressed his honor to visit Vietnam; congratulated Vietnam on successfully organizing the 80th National Day celebration (September 2); and conveyed the best wishes and greetings of President Recep Tayyip Erdogan to President Luong Cuong.

Minister Yasar Guler affirmed that Türkiye always considers Vietnam an important partner in the Asia-Pacific region and wishes for bilateral cooperation to develop further; is willing to share technology and contribute to defense modernization efforts in accordance with Vietnam's needs...

Defense Minister Yasar Guler also hopes that Vietnam will support Türkiye in expanding its cooperative relations with ASEAN; as well as strengthening defense cooperation in particular and promoting relations between the two countries in general.

Welcoming the Turkish Defense Minister's sharing on the general situation, President Luong Cuong emphasized that bilateral relations have developed well in recent times and Vietnam wishes to bring the relationship between the two countries to a new height. In particular, the two sides need to increase the exchange of delegations, especially high-level delegations and ministries, branches and localities; continue to promote economic, investment and trade cooperation in areas where the two countries have many strengths and can complement each other.

To make the Vietnam-Türkiye defense cooperation more practical and effective, the President suggested that in the coming time, the two countries' Defense Ministries continue to promote and deepen the cooperative relationship on the basis of the signed Defense Cooperation Agreement, as well as the contents discussed and agreed upon at the talks between the two Defense Ministers. The Vietnamese State will create the most favorable conditions for the two countries' Defense Ministries to continue to strengthen defense relations, in accordance with the needs and capabilities of each country.

On this occasion, through the Minister, President Luong Cuong respectfully invited Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan to visit Vietnam at an appropriate time.
