Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Ngo Hanh Phuc had a dialogue with households affected by the 500kV Lao Cai - Vinh Yen Project

On the morning of July 16, the provincial working delegation led by Mr. Ngo Hanh Phuc, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, inspected the field, grasped the progress and had direct dialogue with households affected by the Lao Cai - Vinh Yen 500kV transmission line project in Khanh Hoa, Muong Lai and Luc Yen communes.

Also attending were leaders of the Department of Industry and Trade, Agriculture and Environment; representatives of Power Project Management Board 1 (investor) and related localities.

Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Ngo Hanh Phuc inspected the location of households affected by the corridor in Quyet Thang village, Khanh Hoa commune.

According to the report, the 500kV Lao Cai - Vinh Yen project is being urgently implemented. To date, construction work has completed 75/82 pier foundation positions and installed 20/82 steel columns.

However, the biggest problem at present is still the work of clearing the corridor. In the three communes of Khanh Hoa , Muong Lai, and Luc Yen, there are 316 households affected by the corridor, but only 209 households have received advance support funds. The arrangement of resettlement land for households whose houses must be relocated still faces many difficulties.

Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Ngo Hanh Phuc listened to the opinions of Mr. Truong Van Long's family.

Directly visiting and talking with Mr. Truong Van Long's family in Quyet Thang village, Khanh Hoa commune - one of the households that had to relocate their house because it was located entirely within the corridor of the route, comrade Ngo Hanh Phuc, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee affirmed that the local government will create all conditions to support the family.

For the remaining land area, if not completely recovered, the family can continue to use it. In case of relocation, the families will be resettled in accordance with the State's regulations and policies, and will be supported with materials and labor during the relocation process.

At the family of Mr. Ha Dinh Chi, Yen Phu village, Muong Lai commune, also subject to relocation, comrade Ngo Hanh Phuc clearly informed about compensation and support policies.

Accordingly, assets such as houses, trees, and crops will be fully compensated; if the family can arrange new housing, the State will support legal procedures; if the State arranges resettlement, priority will be given to interspersed or on-site options that suit the people's wishes. He also explained that public assets such as the old commune People's Committee headquarters cannot be converted into resettlement land funds but must be handled according to the public asset auction process.

Also in the morning, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee and the working delegation inspected a number of locations planned for resettlement areas for people and inspected the actual problems in the construction of the foundation position of column 163 in Na Noi village, Luc Yen commune.
