Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Phan The Tuan visited and extended New Year greetings to a number of international cooperation agencies and FDI enterprises.

(BBG)- On December 19, Mr. Phan The Tuan, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Bac Giang province, together with leaders of a number of provincial departments and branches, visited and extended New Year greetings to leaders and officials of organizations: Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA); United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) in Hanoi and 3 enterprises with foreign direct investment (FDI) in Hiep Hoa district, Viet Yen town and Bac Giang city.

At the places visited, comrade Phan The Tuan provided general information about the province's socio-economic development results in 2024 and the province's investment attraction policies for FDI enterprises.

It is known that KOICA opened a representative office in Vietnam in 1994. This is an organization specializing in implementing non-refundable aid programs for developing countries, including Vietnam. In Bac Giang in recent years, the Korean Government through KOICA has sponsored the construction of the Vietnam - Korea Bac Giang College of Technology. After the school came into operation, KOICA continued to send delegations of experts and volunteers to support training as well as provide equipment for the school.

Here, comrade Phan The Tuan proposed that KOICA continue to support the Vietnam - Korea Bac Giang College of Technology in some cooperation contents between the two sides, and at the same time coordinate with the province's professional agencies to speed up the implementation of 2 projects in the area including: Vocational training associated with employment for people in disadvantaged groups in war-affected areas and Vietnamese youth by supporting the Vietnam - Korea Bac Giang College of Technology to develop talents and skilled workers; improve water quality environment, enhance water quality management capacity in Bac Giang province.

Speaking at the event, Mr. Lee Byung Hwa, Country Director of KOICA Vietnam, said that KOICA will focus on accelerating the implementation of the above projects to soon bring about effectiveness. He believes that the good relationship between KOICA and Bac Giang province will continue to be maintained and strengthened. With the province's impressive economic growth rate in 2024, Bac Giang will continue to grow further in the coming years, contributing to the overall development of the country.

On the occasion of the New Year 2025, on behalf of the provincial leaders, comrade Phan The Tuan presented flowers, gifts and congratulated Mr. Lee Byung Hwa and the collective leadership and staff of KOICA. He affirmed that the People's Committee of Bac Giang province is committed to closely coordinating with KOICA to effectively implement programs and projects in the province in the coming time.

Visiting UNESCO officials and leaders, comrade Phan The Tuan highly appreciated the Organization's attention to the recognition of cultural heritages in Bac Giang province in recent times. He requested UNESCO to continue to pay attention and support the province in the work of preserving and promoting recognized heritages; support the province in the fields of science - technology, education, information and communication; and help the locality access scientific and technological advances in the 4.0 industrial revolution.

Comrade Phan The Tuan visited and wished a Happy New Year to UNESCO leaders and staff.

At the same time, support short-term and long-term training in other countries for the province's professional staff, send experts for on-site training, especially in the fields of education and heritage conservation to improve staff capacity and develop human resources in depth.

Continue to support the province in accessing projects in the fields of education - training, culture, tourism, environment, and climate change response. Here, comrade Phan The Tuan presented flowers, gifts and New Year wishes to UNESCO leaders and staff.

On the same day, comrade Phan The Tuan visited and wished a happy New Year to: Hanoi Sungho Electronic Co., Ltd., Hop Thinh Industrial Park (Hiep Hoa); Van Huacheng Co., Ltd., Hoang Mai Industrial Park, Nenh Ward (Viet Yen Town); Pearl Global Vietnam Co., Ltd., Num Village, Dinh Tri Commune (Bac Giang City).

Comrade Phan The Tuan and the delegation visited and wished a Happy New Year to Van Huacheng Company Limited.

These are enterprises with Korean and Chinese investment capital specializing in manufacturing and processing printed circuit boards for electronic products, equipment and components; producing copper valves and garments for export.

After listening to the report on the production and business situation of the 3 enterprises, comrade Phan The Tuan acknowledged and congratulated the results achieved by the units in 2024. At the same time, he affirmed that in the past time, the enterprises have made important contributions to promoting the economic growth of the province.

He hoped that in 2025, businesses would continue to rise, unite, innovate and be more creative to strive to exceed the set production and business goals and plans, contributing to promoting socio-economic development in the locality. The province always accompanies, is ready to support, promptly remove difficulties, and create the most favorable conditions for businesses to develop further.
