This is one of the key spaces in the "National Achievements" Exhibition on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of National Day, where Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City and Hai Phong City display outdoors, introducing economic , cultural and creative achievements of key economic regions.
Located in the East yard on an area of 15,000 m², Hanoi's exhibition space is arranged into 5 main areas: displaying typical products, OCOP products, traditional craft villages; artisan performance space; key technology and industrial product area; culinary space; along with miniatures, models and sideline cultural and artistic activities.
During the inspection, Vice Chairman of Hanoi People's Committee Nguyen Manh Quyen visited each exhibition area and each category, listening to the units report on the exhibition plan, construction progress, scenario, series of activities... within the framework of the Exhibition.
Vice Chairman Nguyen Manh Quyen praised the 24/7 working spirit of the Department of Industry and Trade and coordinating units, urgently completing the construction, ensuring progress, quality and safety of the project.
At the same time, direct units to prepare detailed scenarios, professional presenters, create connections between exhibition spaces, invite artists to participate, arrange the landscape space in a harmonious and lively way...
According to Director of Hanoi Department of Industry and Trade Vo Nguyen Phong, the Exhibition was carried out under the close direction of the City Party Committee and People's Committee. The Department selected reputable construction units to speed up the progress while still ensuring quality.
This is an important occasion to promote Hanoi's typical products, craft villages, and OCOP, while also introducing the capital's economic, scientific, technological, and creative achievements.
The exhibition, themed “The Quintessence of Thang Long”, is staged as a continuous flow from the past – present – future, honoring the thousand-year cultural heritage, traditional craft villages, while spreading the spirit of innovation and the desire for integration.
The space is divided into 6 areas: “Thang Long Imprint” – handicraft products; “Quintessence of Craft Streets” – artisan performances; “Pioneering Technology” – science and technology products; “Ha Thanh’s Delicious Taste” – cuisine; outdoor spaces “Back to the Heritage Land”, “Village in the City” and craft villages.
Here, the public will enjoy dishes associated with Thang Long culinary culture such as Com Vong, Bach Diep Ho Tay lotus, Lam tea, Bang An sweet soup..., experience Xam singing performances, Trach Xa ao dai fashion, excerpts from plays...
According to the Director of the Department of Industry and Trade, Hanoi has 1,350 craft villages and 327 craft villages and 167,000 households producing handicraft products. Many handicraft products have established their position and are competitive in the domestic and foreign markets. Many products have been exported to the world, to the US, Europe, Japan, etc.
The arrangement harmoniously combines indoor and outdoor spaces, in which 3 indoor areas focus on introducing scientific and technological achievements, digital transformation and craft village products, while the outdoor space creates a resting place, enjoying the bonsai and unique cuisine of Hanoi.
Up to now, the staging and decoration items have been completed about 80% of the volume. It is expected that by 5pm on August 15, the frame will be completed, from August 16 to 25, we will continue to install equipment, arrange products on display; the event will have a rehearsal on August 26, opening on August 28 and lasting until September 5.
